Description

The clear, lovely varnish is orange-brown, slightly shaded, and the tone and workmanship are first-rate. Supplied with a lightweight, 4-tuner tailpiece and D'Addario Prelude steel strings, this violin offers the best tone quality for the advanced student. This outfit comes complete with a genuine horsehair bow, a hardshell case and violin care products. Of the many available student violin starter kits available, this one merits particular consideration. Cremona is a respected brand, and the final inspections on these instruments are made by expert violin makers. Each instrument is setup to Cremona standards at their U.S. workshop and is ready to play the day they arrive, adorned with all of the extras you need to get started. There many things that can interrupt a student's development on his or her instrument. The Cremona SV-500 will not be one of them.

    I've been playing for a few years and wanted something a bit better than what I had. After a lengthy search I had honed in on the Cremona SV 500.. when it went on sale I decided it was the right time. It was delivered in two days ,great service! The instrument has an amazing sound for this price range or even a bit higher. Good resonance, even across the strings with a worm yet bright tone. String action is quick and responsive yet easy. It has a beautiful red brown finish with nice amount of flaming on the back and sides. The prelude stings sound great and was my choice used on my older violin. This is a great violin and I would highly recommend it to anyone on a budget looking for quality instrument!

    Coming from playing the violin for many years, I had went on a 2 month research of find the "best made" or "best wooded" violin. I heard a lot of good things about Cremona and just went ahead with my gut to buy this violin. Very pleased with my purchase. It sounds just as good as a $1,000 violin. Its vibrant and sounds for the amount it cost. Just super excited about this violin and the wooding on it is just beautiful. Highly recommended for any beginning(if you want to go ahead and take the early step), intermediate players, and above. Will probably be buying from Cremona again later after many years of use on this one! The only thing I will probably even consider a con is getting some better strings... Dominant strings are my fav but that is it…The ones that come on it are still good. Delivery came in a of couple hours earlier than expected and came in a compatible case with no damages. Hope this review helps someone out there :)

    I bought this new to teach , and I found the strings and overall sound and setup very good for the price point. Would by again and recommend it all the way to beginner college .
