Cordoba

Description

The C4-CE's solid African mahogany top provides a crisp, articulate tone, combined with African mahogany back and sides for balanced volume and sustain. The construction is based upon Cordoba's traditional Spanish classical guitar, with the inclusion of a soft cutaway and a slightly thinner (50 mm) neck designed for comfortable playability and easy upper-register reach. Premium design elements, such as maple binding, an abalone rosette and the C4-CE's striking Antique Charcoal Edgeburst finish will help you stand out from the crowd. The onboard Fishman Sonitone active pickup system produces a rich and natural sound when amplified, and puts the soundhole mounted controls at your fingertips—perfect for gigging and recording.

A case is sold separately.

This guitar has a soft wood, and I can slide my hand up and down the neck effortlessly. You can tell that the guitar beside it has a glossy finish, and this one doesn't. It feels more natural. I also love the loud deep sound it makes and the small details on the guitar. The tuners have a design etched into them. There's a herringbone design in the middle with the three lines at the top matching it. This is the best acoustic that I've ever played

I've played electrics and steel-stringed acoustics for decades, but I haven't owned a nylon string since I gave mine away (my first guitar ever). I didn't want to spend a lot on a guitar I wasn't sure I'd play a lot, and I couldn't be happier with the money I spent on this one. The neck feels a little narrower than that old classical I used to own, so it's more playable and forgiving for smaller hands or those used to electric and steel string acoustic necks. The sound is balanced, plenty of volume. Great fit and finish. The really outstanding feature of this particular instrument is its setup. Out of the box, this thing was better-intonated than any guitar I've ever played, of any kind. It's actually kind of mind-blowing how every chord sounds properly in-tune in every shape, everywhere on the neck, all the way to the 12th fret and beyond. Maybe I got lucky with this one but apparently Cordoba was recently bought by Yamaha, so it makes sense that the QC would improve. Don't hesitate to buy this guitar, seriously.

I'm a beginner but I absolutely love this guitar. I had bought an acoustic first but my fingers were too big for the cords so I traded for the classical. Best decision ever.

First of all I'm no classical guitarist. This is my first classical guitar. I got this for finger style country blues and folk. If I were a classical guitar player I would have got the C5. But for Travis picking this one is great. It looks amazing, plays effortlessly with a setup. And sounds warm and pleasant to the ears.

Does it have a low action for us with a bit of neuropathy

    Open Reply - Gear-Support
The Córdoba C4-CE Classical Acoustic-Electric Guitar is designed with playability in mind, making it a suitable option for players experiencing mild neuropathy. It features a slightly thinner neck with a 50mm nut width, which is narrower than the traditional 52mm found on many classical guitars. This design facilitates easier fretting and chord transitions, potentially reducing hand strain. Additionally, the guitar comes equipped with Savarez Cristal Corum High Tension 500CJ nylon strings. Nylon strings are generally softer and more forgiving on the fingers compared to steel strings, which can be beneficial for individuals with sensitive fingertips. lowgearband.net While specific action height measurements aren't provided, the C4-CE is noted for its comfortable playability straight out of the box. However, if you find the action higher than preferred, a professional guitar technician can adjust it to better suit your needs.
