I am a working musician, teacher, and extreme guitar hobbyist. I purchased this guitar last week at a GC in Nashville TN. It's an absolute monster of a guitar and very versatile. I had to lower the action just a bit for my liking, but that took less than 5 minutes. Everything about this guitar is flawless. The Floyd rose can handle a LOT of abuse and stay perfectly in tune. The guys and gals over at Fender have really stepped up the game on Charvel since they acquired them in 2002. 10/10 will recommend.

Wonderful guitar. I bought this axe in vintage white (love it). I cannot find any flaws in frets or finish. The pickups scream when needed. The neck is fast. I'll definitely be looking at buying another Charvel in the near future.
I would buy this product again

Plays great right out of the box. Neck is fantastic. Frets perfectly finished and the rolled edges are super comfy. Distortion pickups are super hot, great for metal and heavy stuff. Coil split makes it a very versatile instrument. This is my 2nd Mexican Charvel Pro Mod. Can't say enough good things about them.
Loved first one so much I bought a second one!

The new Charvels have the best feeling necks available anywhere. They're thin and very comfortable & feature flawless fretwork & rolled fretboard edges. The fit, finish & materials are superb. You will not want to put this guitar down! I have one of the So Cals with the gloss vintage white as well as this one with the satin shell pink finish. The gloss finish is flawless and not sticky. The satin body finish is so smooth that you will not believe it. It's amazing. The Seymour Duncan pickups give you a variety of sounds to please anyone's tonal pallet. From screaming overdriven to clean and rich with harmonics and sustain, these pickups deliver! I prefer my action very low and I had no problem getting the action set to my liking with zero fret buzz or fretting out. Do yourself a favor and buy one of these guitars today. You can thank me later!
Perfection I replaced the Yngwie Malmsteen guitar with this.

I love it. Got the yellow and white guitar to replace the Yngwie Malmsteen Fender. Charvel is a much better instrument.

How well does this handle being drop tuned?
This guitar would work well and be a good choice for drop tunings. Heavy gauge strings would be recommended.submitted5 years ago

what exactly is a hand rubbed urethane neck? is it more similar to a gloss neck, or to a satin neck?
It's not quite a satin neck, it's been hand rubbed which gave it a natural shine to it without adding a finish.submitted6 years ago

Guitars that are finished in matte black tend to get shiny spots where your arm and fingers constantly contact the finish. Is the same true for the matte blue frost finish on this guitar?
This would be the same for the matte blue frost finish on this guitar.
