Saved an old friend

I have a vintage Mouse amp from Lectrosonics I had used for busking back in the day. The speaker's cone was brittle and developed holes. I patched it as well as I could, but, it was a goner. Lectrosonics didn't sell the speakers as their supplier had discontinued them. I set to look for a replacement (~15W 4Ω) and decided on this one. The Mouse specsheet said 8˝, but it was 7 1/2 ˝, which I realized after taking the amp apart (read the manual, but always measure—lesson learned). After some chiseling, I was able to install the Celestion. I plugged in the old guitar and it was good. Real good. The Mouse is alive! It's now a practice amp and I hope to get more years out of this old rodent.

Put this speaker into my Bugera V5 because the amp sounded like it was missing highs. I feel like it really brightened up the amp and made it sound less boxy. Shipping was prompt and item was exactly as described. Came well packed and had no issues switching out my old speaker and putting the Celestion in. Would purchase again!

I have an inexpensive frontman G15 Cool for in the office just messed around. Sounded OK for practice but not really inspiring. I put in the Celestion speaker, and now this is one of my favorite amps! The low end is not muddy and it sounds so much better! And even has a bit of a tube amp vibe to it. I am now a huge believer in changing speakers.

Replace the stock speaker in Bugera Infinium 5 watt (best amp ever under $200).

  • Excellent value for British tone at bedroom volumes!

My one watt Bumbox Lead 1 sounded mushy with a 12 inch cabinet and I was hoping a low watt speaker would sound bigger. I am pretty impressed with this now that the speaker is broken in. Good clarity and crunch at low volume. Excellent sound for rock playing.
