Blackstar's St. James 50 6L6 50W tube guitar head redefines what a high-powered valve amp can be. This innovative 50W head is constructed from lightweight candlenut plywood, reducing weight while maintaining a boutique look and feel. Two channels provide pristine cleans and roaring overdrive, with an external footswitch to toggle between them. The St. James is equipped with built-in cabinet simulation and power reduction for direct recording or playing at lower volumes, allowing you to achieve cranked-amp tone anywhere.

6L6 Tubes Deliver Aggressive Tones and Versatility

The St. James 50 features a pair of 6L6 power tubes, known for their ability to produce a wide range of tones from glassy cleans to all-out distortion. This versatile tube combination, along with the amp's simple yet flexible controls, make it suitable for any musical style.

Two Channels Offer the Full Tonal Spectrum

With two independent channels, the St. James provides both sparkling cleans and roaring overdrive. Easily toggle between channels using the built-in selector switch or the included external footswitch for seamless transitions on stage or in the studio.

Built-In Cab Sim and Power Reduction

The St. James' cab rig output provides cabinet simulation, allowing you to plug directly into an interface or mixer and record or perform without an external speaker cabinet. Select from three distinct cab sim voicings to shape your tone. The onboard power reduction switch lets you attenuate the St. James from 50W to 5W or activate sag mode for a softer, vintage-style response at lower volumes, ideal for home playing or recording.

A Lightweight Design With a Heavyweight Sound

Blackstar designed the St. James to be their lightest and most portable amp yet. The candlenut plywood construction reduces weight while still producing a full, resonant tone.
