Behringer

Description

The Behringer TM300 Tube Amp Modeler pedal puts the soulful tone of classic tube amps right at your feet. With authentic amp modeling technology, this compact stompbox gives you access to a wide range of coveted tube tones with just a tap of your toe. The TM300 includes models of three legendary guitar amps, offering the sparkling clean chime of a '60s California classic, the warm overdrive of a vintage British stack and the sweet, harmonically rich breakup of a tweed relic.

Shape Your Tone With Three Amp Models and Gain Modes

The Behringer TM300 enhances your tonal palette with three iconic amp models to choose from. Dial up the shimmering clean headroom of a classic Californian combo, the aggressive midrange bark and singing lead tone of a British 100-watt stack or the smooth, touch-sensitive breakup of a vintage American tweed amp. With three distinct gain modes per amp, you can push each model from sparkling cleans to saturated overdrive. Further tailor your gain staging with the Drive control. Whether you need glassy country twang or face-melting metal soloing, the TM300 has you covered.

Sculpt Your Sound With Virtual Mic Placements

Just like miking up a real tube amp, the TM300 lets you choose from three different virtual mic placements to dramatically shape your tone. A mic placed right against the grille cloth brings out punchy lows and articulate pick attack. Set further back, a distant mic accentuates the amp's natural room ambience. And an off-axis mic placement attenuates the brash highs while accentuating the rich midrange. Find your sweet spot with the turn of a knob.

Dedicated Tone-Shaping Controls

The TM300 puts essential tone-sculpting parameters right at your fingertips. Shape your EQ with dedicated Low, Mid and High knobs. Push the front end of your amp model harder and tweak your gain structure with the Drive control. And maintain unity gain levels with the handy Level knob. The TM300 makes dialing in the perfect tone for any application quick and easy.

Want the tube sound with a tube? This pedal is very close. I am very much a novice, but can hear how good this sounds with my guitars. Great price, so why not!

This is a Sansamp GT2 clone in a Boss size pedal. It's the same as the GDI21 pedal without the XLR output. Excellent heavy distortion sounds on the California settings. I own a real GT2 and this gets 90% there.

I was looking for a distortion pedal to replace my boss ds-1 that I had sold some time ago.I really liked that pedal..cant go wrong with boss right?..anyways im on a budget and I was hoping to find a distortion pedal for under $50..so I took a chance on a Danelectro fab distortion.Unfortunetly..that pedal kept shutting off on its own so I returned it.I seen good reviews on this pedal,it sounded good on youtube so I took the gamble. They say you can a lot of tones from it personally I only get about 3 sounds/tones/settings that I like from it & that's fine because it does have a good sound..you can get some good pinch harmonics from this pedal with the drive at only 12 oclock.Does it sound like a tube amp?..that I don't know as ive only owned solid state, but the distortion sounds great! The pedal is actually made in china & "designed" in Germany..yea I was shocked too..but probally not surprised lol.If I had to list any cons it would be that the switches are small to select "mike"/"mode"& amp type..and to me the calif. amp sounds the same as the marshal IMO.Bottom line is if your seeking a distortion pedal for under $50 I would recommend trying this pedal out.

When you buy your first basic tube amp (like me) you quickly learn that the number of sounds you can get straight into the amp are limited. You want each song you play to sound more authentic and begin searching for pedals and stuff to help. Then it hits you- There are TONS of pedals out there, many costing over $100 each! Enter the $25 TM300. Yeah, it's plastic. And what tour are you going on this year? The number of sounds you can get and the simplicity of this pedal makes it a must have if you don't have anything yet. Until getting this pedal, I wasn't quite happy with the sounds I was making on my Les Paul. A little too jazzy. With my modeling amps I could get distorted sounds, but they always seemed a bit muddy and processed. The TM300 has breathed life back into my Les Paul I have a lot more options and can even plug this thing into my modeling amps and use it instead of the onboard selections. MUCH cleaner. It is intuitive to use but has so much flexibility that it will take you some time to figure out exactly how you want to use it. Again, it's only $25, so you can afford now to buy the Behringer Compressor Sustainer CS400, and maybe even get a digital delay or chorus, flanger or tremolo. Besides the plastic housing, the only thing I can say negative is that it does burn thru 9v batteries so you have to remember to unplug it when done playing. Also accessing the battery compartment is a slight inconvenience, but you can get fast at it with practice.

  • A lot of sound in a little box!

This pedal exceeded my expectations to an overwhelming level. This is the first pedal I've owned but I have played friends effect pedals and pedal boards, this one is sound wise right next to boss! Of course 25 bucks only buys you so much so the plastic case does demand that you be gentle when engaging it. Small price to pay for all the possibilities provided by this pedal. My plan was to buy first the tube amp modeler, then distortion, and fuzz pedals. The tube amp modeler can make distortion with ease, and every kind of vintage fuzz you can dream of. I've read reviews on other sites whining about the battery only lasting 20 minutes, I have been using the same batt for 2 weeks with several heavy playing days. Use good batteries, and don't turn the pedal up all the way on every knob, let your amp do some work too.

I bought one about a year ago. It has plenty of gain for metal, totally clean glassy tone or a good fender blues. There are lots of options boogie, Marshall type settings. I have owned a lot of great gear and run this through a marshall head and a randall combo and it sound great. It is plastic so don't drop it or jump on it. I've had no problems with it. Love the tone better than any expensive distortion pedals i've used.
