I was looking for a compact effects box to compliment a mixer I had recently bought that has no onboard effects, and I came across this item. The 16 effects are broad based, tweakable, and usable. I was primarily interested in the reverbs for vocal use, and these seem rich, full, and vibrant. Among the fx listed was rotary, so I hooked up a clonewheel and tried that out. While it isn't the same quality as a Ventilator or a Burn, it was way more than passible. My only gripe was that the speed change is only made by the "Tap/Select" front panel button, not by the foot switch. Not a deal breaker by any means. One other comment: Despite the description, there are no XLR ins or outs, only 1/4" jacks. In conclusion if you're looking for some good effects for a small amount of coin, you can't do better than this unit.
