The Behringer X32 40-channel digital mixer sparked a revolution in live and studio sound upon its release—and it remains one of the world's most popular digital consoles to this day. Beloved by everyone from live sound engineers to studio professionals and on-the-go producers, this modern classic brings pro-level features into a highly intuitive and affordable platform. With 32 programmable Midas-designed mic preamps, powerful signal processing and network-ready flexibility, the X32 makes complex mixing simple. Its tactile interface blends the feel of analog with the precision of digital, featuring dedicated channel controls, high-resolution color displays and 100 mm motorized faders. Add in a studio-grade virtual FX rack, seamless scene management and AES50 digital snake compatibility, and you've got a mixer that punches well above its class. Whether you're running front of house, monitors or a mobile studio, the X32 delivers the power, sound quality and flexibility to take on any gig—live or in the studio.

Hands-On Workflow With Analog Familiarity

The X32's interface is designed for engineers who want immediate control without getting lost in menus. Its channel strip layout puts EQ, dynamics, sends and routing right under your fingers, with dedicated knobs and buttons for fast tweaks. Each channel features a full-color LCD screen with customizable labeling, icons and source info—perfect for quickly identifying instruments during fast-paced shows. Eight DCA groups, six mute groups and motorized faders make group mixing and recall a breeze. The 7" high-resolution display gives you a comprehensive view of your mix, while intuitive navigation tools help you move between pages, layers and settings without breaking your workflow.

Scalable I/O for Flexible Setups

With 32 XLR inputs, 16 XLR outputs and a wide range of additional analog and digital I/O, the X32 is built to scale with your needs. Connect directly or use AES50 to expand via digital stage boxes for up to 96 input and output channels. The mixer's Ultranet port supports P16 personal monitoring systems, and a rear expansion slot accommodates formats like Dante, MADI or ADAT. RCA, TRS, AES/EBU, USB and MIDI ports ensure compatibility across modern and legacy gear. No matter your workflow—live sound, broadcast, studio or hybrid—the X32 adapts with minimal setup time and maximum routing power.

Studio-Grade FX and DSP for Professional-Quality Mixes

The X32 includes a powerful virtual effects rack featuring eight true-stereo slots and high-end simulations of classic outboard gear. Run lush reverbs, vintage delays, precision EQs and modulation effects without needing external processors. Each mix bus and main output includes 6-band parametric EQ and dynamics, while adjustable line delays give you total control over speaker alignment. Under the hood, the 32-bit floating-point DSP engine delivers massive headroom and near-zero internal latency. Whether you're shaping in-ear mixes or dialing in show-ready effects, the onboard FX and processing suite offer everything you need to create polished, professional mixes in any setting.

32 Midas-Designed Mic Preamps for Superior Sound

At the heart of the X32 are 32 Midas-designed mic preamps known for their low-noise performance, ultra-clean gain and wide dynamic range. Paired with 24-bit converters and a 114dB dynamic range, the mixer captures every nuance of your input sources. Klark Teknik's contribution to the internal clocking and signal processing architecture ensures rock-solid timing, low jitter and ultra-stable performance. With a signal path optimized for clarity and consistency, the X32 delivers exceptional audio fidelity from stage to console to output. Whether you're mixing vocals, orchestras or electronic sets, this console ensures your sound translates with warmth, punch and professional-grade precision.

Powerful, Portable and Ready for Anything

The Behringer X32 is more than a digital mixer—it's a full production hub. With powerful scene memory, remote control via Ethernet or USB and built-in show recording via USB flash drive, it's ready for demanding workflows on the road or in the studio. Use the X32-Edit software to fine-tune your mixes remotely, or link with other devices across your network for synchronized control. At just over 45 lb., the X32 is compact enough for mobile rigs but powerful enough to anchor permanent installs. Its unmatched combination of workflow, audio quality and I/O flexibility has made it a staple for touring pros, churches, theaters and engineers everywhere.

Exceeds All Expectations!

First review, the pressure is on. Take what you may know, hear, think, remember about Behringer products and throw it out the window. When The Music Group Inc. bout Midas, everyone in the world of sound and music knew they must be up to something big. The X32 was claiming to be a game changer and they delivered! We got this board one week ago and I literally can not stop messing with it! I am trying to find one flaw or a single downside, I've yet to find one. So far, I would say I've probably logged 20-25 hours on it; testing, checking, testing, learning, checking...etc. I've routed the console to my JBL SRX system and I am completely blown away. If you are new to the world of digital mixing and consoles, this board will take a little time to get used too. Our main board I've been using for the last 4-5 years was an Allen & Heath... and A&H makes excellent products! I've had a little experience with a digital board (LS9), so I was fairly familiar with the basic setup of the X32. However, there is so much to this board, you really need a guide. The manual that it comes with is VERY basic... I had to download the full manual online to really help me get into the meat of this console. Layout: I really think this console has an excellent layout. The screen and functions are really great and easily accessible, and so is all the hardware. I've yet to find a flaw in the software and overall configuration of this board. The functionality is very easy, and once you've navigated a few times around the console, it's quite simple! Now comes the next part... the overall hardware and durability of the inputs, faders, and knobs. A huge selling point for a lot of people on this board will be Midas / Klark-Teknik pre-amps on every channel. This is how Behringer has re-defined their image. I imagine a lot of people who purchase the X32 will be quite impressed with this marriage of affordability / quality. As far as I've tested, the inputs all sound great! The initial sound of the pre's is what I would call "muscle" in the tone. Very nice work Behringer! I guess I'll learn all about the durability of the faders as we put some serious hours traveling and working on this board. If you've watched the online video about the rigorous testing they put the knobs and motorized faders (literally moving them back and forth thousands of times), then I have no doubt all hardware should last for a long time. The video shows the Midas crew putting the faders to work! The body of the X32 seems extremely sturdy, built like a tank and still lightweight. We just ordered an ATA case for it through NYCase Co., and am patiently waiting for them to ship it to me. I did get the 3 year Pro coverage, and Behringer has a 3 year warranty as well. Now some reviews on the sound: Effects - I think the effects are great. Effects that one would use for every application. There are plenty loaded on this console... many you will "recognize" as some of the very popular outboard-style effects from major brands (BBE, Lexicon, Focusrite, etc.) Effects can be ran via stereo or as "side chain", or you can just hook up any outboard gear via one of the 6 Aux send/return's on the board and assign it to a channel via routing. EQ's - Not only does every channel have a full parametric, there's also some really nice quick style EQ'S loaded as well. 31, dual 31, stereo 31, and all can be applied to any channel and adjusted via LCD control, or fader style. Big thumbs up to the effects rack and EQ's! The right side of the board even has a quick effects assignment group to quickly adjust your settings or even tap tempo your delay. Bus Sends - Very nice and easy control. I've got Buses 1-6 running our IEM's and all effects sends are on buses 13-16. Very easy setup... Just use the routing button on the screen to send all your output buses to your mixes. I really love the "sends on faders" button for this. DCA's - Sub groups as many call it. Very easy to set up, just hold the DCA button and the channels you want in that group can be 'selected' to the DCA. Configuration and channel assignment - just a GREAT feature. All channels can be configured to a stored setting and recalled (which you create) and can all be customized! Custom colors, icons, and names for every channel! I color coded all my instruments (ie. all things drums are yellow, Vocals are green, guitars are blue) and send them to their color coded DCA group. Ethernet - hooked up a wireless G router, assigned the IP address to the console through the Configure screen and I can run the X32 via my iPad with the XiControl app. Just another excellent feature! THINGS I'VE YET TO DO... Run the console via remote control to a PC (I'm a mac guy, hopefully they'll have software for all us apple users). They use iPads to control XiControl, so I can only imagine that mac software will be on its way. I've yet to use the USB / FireWire card or do any type of recording with it... but I'm going to multi-track a show in the next couple of weeks via FireWire to my macbook with either DP or Pro-Tools... I'm anxious to see how it works! I've yet to use the AES50 ports as I'm waiting for an S16 box to be released. I've yet to use the P16-m via the ethernet out... once again I'm just waiting on the release (S16 and PM-16m look to be released late August and I guess will be in stores sometime early September). Storage - I've created a live show setting, and you can store and recall up to 100 "shows". Just adjust your faders, sends, buses, effects, etc. and store them! There's even a set of buttons on the right side of the console for quickly recalling and loading a scene. Just another excellent feature! Overall, I guess I can't say enough about this console.

Great electronics...mediocre fader construction

Bought the board on 12/17/13, installed in the booth the week of 1/6/14. There was a bit of a learning curve with the transition from the analog world, but not a horrible one. The electronics are sweet. The control over all of the aspects for the channel is top notch. The compression, gates and eq's are great and the board sounds good because of them. However, had I known about the quality and construction of the fader motors, I would have gone with another company. 2/23/14 we had finished up the sound check/rehearsal for the service and the belt came off one of the faders. I'm sure it's an easy fix, but that would void the warranty. We now have to box the board back up and send it to Vegas to be repaired, an event that will end up making us have to miss two weeks worth of services. I really had hoped that the Behringer quality had made the jump to reliability, but running the desk for six or seven weeks and losing it for two hasn't done much to build any confidence in that department. Just be prepared. There are a host of people that haven't had any issues, but that's not fixing the board that is shipping out on 3/10/14.

Let say something " This is something else bros". We upgraded our analog system Yamaha MG mixer with this X32 digital mixer and it sounds incredible. We call an expierence Brother to go installed it at our church. Beside the x 32 mixer and the digital snake we had a DBX Rack which we run an QSC Amp to the passive subs we have. On our kick we are using a Beta which sounds beautiful. I want to thank GC Pro for thier support. It is worth every penny invested on this mixer.

  • The best.

Yes. Every input channel has its own noise gate as part of the channel dynamics section (which also includes compression). You can turn the gate on/off, adjust its threshold, attack, hold, release, and range settings. The gate is available right in the standard channel processing section — no need for inserting an external effect. Additionally, the X32 lets you sidechain the gate if you want, for more advanced setups.

Hi, I have the fullsize X32 that I use frequently within my AV company here in Las Vegas. I also have the Behringer S32 Digital Snake to go along with it. About a month ago, I updated the firmware on both units and ever since this update, the S32 has been unable to connect/sync to the X32 via the Cat5 cable. My question is, have you guys ever seen this issue before and do you know of a reliable service center that can do quick turnarounds? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

This happens from time to time with updates where one of the supported devices loses the ability to connect. Typically Behringer would try and put out a patch to fix it, I would recommend reaching out to them and seeing if this is a known issue that has a work around.
