I love this pedal, it is my go to for any cool, trippy, weird sounds I want to pull out at a live show, or in the studio, makes it easy. I like that I can use my regular guitars without special pickups or Velcro on pickups. I saw some people complaining that they couldn't get it to sound like a piano or saxophone but that isn't what this is for, it is a synthesizer for guitars, not a keyboard. Sorry, but when I think synthesizer I don't think piano and saxophone. This is great for someone who wants something different I know some guitar synthesizers do have those options, if that's something you're looking for probably look somewhere else, but those are set up by samples triggered through special pickups this is to be able to create your own unique sounds. I have a Novation Nova and I can do a lot of the same things with this boss pedal that I can on that, am very happy.

would give it 3 stars cause boss needs more presets patches and they didn't show its true potential as a synth with there 70 patches for this high price and only 15 on them worth it .. this program is packed full of knobs and settings for 3 oscillators which is a big plus but dont expect boss to have done the work for you they literally set you up with nothing so you can make your own patches from scratch which is nothing as user friendly to your standard multi effects guitar pedal creating patches so you get 3 oscillators that has multiple waves/pitch and than you move to filters/amps and LFOs and a sequencer and than u can layer each oscillator editing its part and i believe u get 4 effects so u can modify

product its great for guitarist who wanna add synths over there recordings or replace a keyboard :) this could also be used for a dj who plays guitar just add a hot hand for wobbles and use trance chords and next to midi luanchpad on pc .. if anybody complains its because they depend on presets and cant create what sounds they want

  • No piano, No looper, Who did they make this for?

This is not the pedal I was looking for. Boss/Roland We need an update to the Gr-55. Not Whatever this pedal is. Easy. Take a Gr-55 ditch the GK3 pickup, (We now know you can do it the Sy300 Does), Add the 16 step sequencer and the analog synth, Call it a Day for you just made a ton of players happy! The price for this unit without the looper and expression pedal should be $299! Sorry
