This is one of the best sounding amps I have played on! However, it is not for the weak! It weights a whopping 85 lbs.! So eat your Wheaties if you are packing this amp to gigs! Very powerful, very vintage, awesome sound and just over all a super amp!

  • I would with out a doubt buy this product again!

I have been playing the bass for over twenty-five years and have been through just about everything as far as amplifiers! You name it I've owned it! This amp by far is the best sounding amplifier I have used to date.Super warm tones as to be expected. The only set back is it's Heavy! But well worth the extra weight for the sound that this amp produces!

I bought one of these in March of 2008 and absolutely, undeniably stand in awe of the tone and power delivered by this beast. It took Ampeg (Loud Technologies) 3 times to get me one that worked as advertised, but they did and I have had no problems since. They stood by the product and corrected the issue. I have it connected to an Ampeg 410HLF and the bottom end thunder it produces makes the other bass players in my neck of the woods jealous and green with envy. It is a set it and forget tool for working bass players.

I had an original 70's blue line, back in the 80's and this new one sounds just as brilliant and punchy. I have tried them all, and nothing else even comes close, and it's worth every dime , so I say ,,right on A M P E G !!! Randy Wilson

The B-stock has an invisible 3month warranty! These amps are made poorly and outside the USA so get the A stock and the extended warranty offered by guitar center!

this is the one amp that rules them all. i've had mine about six years and nothing else even comes close to it. i run two fifteens and four tens off it and it has no problem pushing them. it can deliver warm lows but can kill any high that you want. in my experience this is the best amp for the job. the only thing is that it's pretty heavy so it's hard to move fast when playin gigs
