Wall of Bass sound

Solid, well built cabinet - it will fill the room with sound. The "towel bar" handle and casters are a great design for moving the cabinet around - you'll need a helper for loading as the Heritage version is 137# so this is not a one man operation for lifting it. I liked this so much I'm getting a 2nd Heritage 810 cabinet! The tone from the re-issue Eminence speakers is the "sound of Ampeg" I've heard about so much - there's copies out there, but this is the real thing. When Ampeg originally designed the SVT bass head amp - their design factored around using two SVT 810 cabinets - I'm waiting to see what that's like with 16 x 10" drivers moving that air around

I debated for quite awhile wether to get this or the classic 810e. Chose this for the upgraded U.S. made speakers and it was worth every penny! Great Ampeg tone, well built, and 35-40lbs lighter than the classic.
BEST 810 CABINET I HAVE EVER HEARD

i got a used heritage 810 for $699.00. it was two years old and had a few scratches on the tolex. at the store where i got it they had a standard cl head and we plugged it in with a p bass just to make sure everything worked. the minute i started playing i knew this was the sound i wanted. three salesmen walked over to hear what it was coming from and they all said it was the first time they heard that cab. they also had a standard 810e and a hartke 810 so i tried both of them and there is no way i was walking out of there without this cabinet. the hartke (new) sounded horrible and the standard 810 (american) sounded ok. such a warm, punchy, and tight sound. those eminence drivers make a world of difference and the cab is 40lbs lighter than a standard 810e. and the new grill cloth looked a lot better than the black with white trim. buy one and you will love it.
AWESOME!

I got ahold of an 1993 Limited Edition Hand wired Ampeg SVT Pro 2 Premiere and THIS was the no brainer cab to go with it! It's heavy, solid, and it sounds awesome. Only 400 of them were built as I understand it, and if you want some USA AMPEG rattling the rafters; look no further!

wow looks amazing kinda like an early 70s take on the grill & viynal. got to try my amp{THUNDERFUNK TFB 800-B2}thru an import in the store not bad, but for a litle more the heritage was well werth it, almost 40lbs lighterwith custom voiced eminece neo , to sound like early 70s speakers, no need for a tweeter, plenty of highs with fat tite bottom. i beleive that most of that clasic svt sound comes from the cab.stay away from used usa cabs made from OSB OR CHIPBOARD . get this cab and youll never need another,

Is the price difference between this cabinet and the SVT-810E mainly having to do with the Eminence speakers in this one? That's all that I can pick up on in the product descriptions.
That is correct.
