We used this for a Festival and it worked great. The only con is needing a screwdriver to change batteries.

Simple basic instruction. Need to simplify disabling the auto-shut-off. Also needs to start-up in C weighting.

I use this meter to check my sound level from my neighbors property. The law allows me to produce up to 75dbs of noise and it comes in handy if the Police ever show up.

It's easy to use for those who wants their Speaker Levels match. But I wish there's clear explanation or video how to properly use it the right way.

Can I record noise from neighboring property, then show results to local police easily?
No, the American Recorder Technologies Sound Level Meter is primarily designed for real-time sound level measurements but does not have built-in data logging or recording capabilities. It displays sound levels on its screen but does not store or export data for later analysis.submitteda year ago

Is there a correction curve to apply to low frequencies (like for example the Radio Shack analog meter's is well known and easy to find), or is the curve built into the reading? I've had this meter for years but never found this out.
I don't know. Perhaps an inquiry to American Recorder. "info@americanrecorder.com"submitted5 years ago
