HP 700
Worked beyond my expectations.American Audio was unfamiliar to me, it seemed like an inexpensive brand, but with the purchase with these headphones it has changed my mind.It has great sound quality, undistorted lows and highs. Better and cleaner output than the sonys'.

They Sound Good But Will Need Constant Replacement
I previously owned a pair of Sony MDRV-500's. I had them for five years until a swivel broke. Earlier In March, I purchased new headphones, this time, the American Audio HP700. I liked them a lot initially, but since then have had to replace them twice. The wiring is bad, and is one the most frustratin products I have ever owned. When you have headphones you expect them to work, not give out on you at any time for any unknown reason. Terrible product. Do not buy.

I bought these headphones on clearance for use with my electronic drum set. Unfortunately sound only comes out of one side.

I bought one of these a long time ago because they sounded so good.. after a year or two of usage, parts on it started to break so I bought a new pair... and that one broke within 6 months of use.. and I thought maybe I was rough on it.. and got another... that one broke rather fast was well... but I really like how they sounded... so I went for a 4th one... that one went bad within a month of just using it to list to music on my PC... so I am now done with this line. The main issue is with the 1/8in connector, once it bends over 20 times, the wires break loose... on one set, I physically cut the cables and soldered a new connection and that one still works... so I have at least 1 good working pair. Maybe one day they will fix the terrible construction of these because honestly, they really do sound amazing.

I listened to these headphones at the store on the loudest volume and initially thought they sounded great, but in actuality they did not sound great they just sounded loud. These headphones are terrible, if you aren't blasting the volume then the sound gets distorted and you hear static in the midst of the audio. These could not be worst headphones for anyone who records, or produces because you are unable to tell if the distortion you hear is your track or your headphones, and most time it is the headphones...THESE SHOULD STOP BEING SOLD WASTE OF MONEY

I bought these in the beginning of 2009. I just broke them this past Saturday, July 2cd, 2016. I am a mobile DJ and live sound engineer. I have had this stuffed in laptop bags, gig bags, suit cases, etc. I've let various people stretch them out while listening to a song. I've dropped them a few times. The ink faded. The first set of covers wore out. On the second, the cord snagged them out of my hand and I dropped them about four feet onto a deck. The speaker opposite of the cord broke off at the swivel. I severed the wire holding it on and DJ'd for another 3 hours with just the one speaker. I would definitely recommend these.
Best DJ headphones for the price.
