Hand-Selected Tonewoods

The MD610E Herringbone's solid Sitka spruce top is hand selected for its musical properties, with tight, straight grain that resonates freely. Its solid African mahogany back and sides provide warm, balanced tone. The dovetail neck joint and scalloped bracing further enhance resonance and projection. Together, these premium tonewoods generate the projection and sustain flatpickers demand.

Comfortable Neck and Fingerboard

The MD610E Herringbone's mahogany neck has an easy-playing profile and satin finish. Its Indian rosewood fingerboard, with 20 frets, feels smooth under your fingers for seamless transitions across the neck. Dot inlays help guide you to each note. Overall, the neck and fingerboard are designed for comfort and playability during long practice sessions or performances.

Onboard Electronics and Tuning Machines

The LR Baggs VTC electronics pickup system lets you plug in and enjoy amplified sound with convenient volume and tone control. Premium die-cast tuning machines keep the guitar in tune through dynamic playing styles.

This guitar punches way above its weight class and is an absolute bargain. Same tonal profile as a D-18 for almost 1/4 the price and it even has a pickup. It's the perfect companion to my Taylor 717e Gold Label but at a price where this is the guitar I'd take out and about.

  • Dream sound for the money. Awesome fit and finish.

Hey, used for all around noodling, folk, rock, worship songs, Bluegrass, all kinds of things. It's a very versatile instrument that makes you want to play more. Guitar stays in tune when using a capo. I have yet to hear it's sound through the internal pickup because I just play acoustically. The mahogany neck finish is light years above a Martin. Beautiful binding with authentic pick guard. What's not to like here?
