Touchscreen and App Deliver Unparalleled Control

The Qu-Pac's 800x480 touchscreen and Qu-Pad iPad app give you mixing power at your fingertips. Adjust monitor levels on stage, tweak the PA during soundcheck, or mix the show from the audience. The customizable Qu-Control screen provides one-touch access to the channels and settings you need. Arrange channel levels, mutes, assignment switches and more to suit your workflow.

16 Legendary Preamps Provide Pristine Sound

The Qu-Pac features 16 AnalogiQ total recall preamps, renowned for their transparent, low-noise and musical sound. Minimal distortion and an ultralow noise floor deliver audio clarity. Combined with high-end 24-bit AD/DA converters, the AnalogiQ preamps capture your performance with stunning realism.

Expandable I/O for Any Application

Start with the Qu-Pac's 16 mic/line inputs and two stereo inputs, then expand up to 38 inputs using Allen & Heath's dSNAKE protocol and AR2412, AR84 or AB168 AudioRacks. dSNAKE's low 105μs latency over 120m cable runs lets you place I/O on stage and run a single Cat5 cable to the mixer. Two stereo mix outputs, 10 matrix outputs and two stereo record outputs provide routing flexibility.

Record, Monitor and More

The Qu-Pac's built-in Qu-Drive lets you capture multi-track recordings directly to USB. It's also ideal for studio monitoring and mixing. Sophisticated matrix mixing, channel ducking and an iLive FX library expand your creative options. User permissions and scene recall provide convenience for everyday use by non-technical staff.

The Qu Pac is ideal for me. Whether recording in my studio or performing a gig, being able to control my mixer remotely with an iPad is a blessing. Also all 32 channels can be streamed into my Logic Pro X ap.

Overall, I'm quite happy with my Qu-Pac. But I do have two fairly major quips that I think potential buyers should be aware of. There's at least 2 IOS apps (iPhone/iPad) for this unit that I'd think any buyer of this particular Qu-series would expect to use. This unit is a rack-mount, and though you "can" mix everything without the Qu-You iPad app that provides a virtual mixer, I don't think you'd want to. Here's my major quip. The IOS apps are NOT backwards compatible with older versions of the firmware you run on the Qu-Pac. So if you're Qu-Pac has 1.7, all the IOS devices you use with this MUST be running V1.7 of the Qu apps. Now that may not sound like much of a problem but... it is very very easy for your IOS apps to get out of sync with the Qu-Pac, and it can be a particular difficult problem to manage. Every time A&H releases a new version of the IOS apps, if the app gets "auto-updated" on your iOS devices, (or if you or someone unaware of this issue manually updates the app) you won't end up with a working app until you upgrade the firmware on the Qu-Pac. With auto-update, you might even be fine at sound-check and have a massive failure at showtime. Worse yet, if you have several people using IOS apps with the tour (performers use the App that allows them to control the monitor mix themselves) it will be early impossible to keep them all sync'd to the same version as the unit's firmware. And by the way, I wouldn't want to have to update the firmware at a gig. it can be a challenge. First, you really need a PC to do the download. Second (another gripe with this unit)is that the USB port has been documented as being finicky about brands and formatting of USB drives. I had to try THREE different USB thumb drives before I found one that worked, and I had to back it up, and let the Qu-Pac reformat it. It's unclear to my why Allen & Heath can't solve the problem of backwards compatibility. Pretty much the rest of the entire software world
