Description

The Allen & Heath AB168 Digital Stage Box is a revolutionary rack-mountable remote audio rack compatible with Allen & Heath's Qu, Avantis and SQ digital mixers, as well as the AHM-64 audio matrix processor. Featuring 16 microphone preamps with phantom power indicators and 8 XLR line outs, the AB168 operates via Allen & Heath's proprietary dSNAKE protocol and can be positioned up to 328' from a compatible mixer. Connecting through a single Cat5 cable to either a mixer or AR2412 AudioRack, the AB168's second EtherCon port allows for daisy-chaining additional AB168 units or a ME personal mixing system. Automatically updating its firmware to sync with your system, the AB168 is ideal for any live performance.

Roadworthy and Portable Design

The AB168's rugged yet compact design, including rubber bumpers, is highly durable for touring and allows placement on stage floors during shows. With a sturdy carry handle, the AB168 is conveniently portable while an optional rack mounting kit is available separately.

Flexible 48kHz I/O Capabilities

With 16 microphone preamps offering phantom power indicators and 8 XLR line outs, the AB168 provides flexible I/O options for any live mixing need. The preamps and line outs run at a pristine 48kHz sampling rate for high resolution audio.

Secure Connectivity

Connecting to a compatible mixer or AR2412 AudioRack through a single Cat5 cable and EtherCon port, the AB168's dSNAKE protocol provides a secure digital snake connection for your audio. A second EtherCon port allows linking additional AB168 units or a ME personal mixing system.

Automatic Firmware Updates

The AB168 automatically updates its firmware to synchronize with your Allen & Heath mixing system, ensuring seamless compatibility and functionality.

    We are using the Q32 for our church. It is an amazing system. It needs an experienced sound person as it is not for an amatuer to use. Need training as it is multi functional. Live recording broadcasting, mixing. The snake connects a single wire to board and we are using two which connect with an ethernet cable cat 6,

    Hi I'm wondering if this is ran via iPad ? If so I'm assuming it has a built in router to connect devices to it ? How many devices can be connected at once ? Am I able to have my talent have their own IEM mixes while also making adjustments themselves ?

    Hi, I want to use a 48 channel Allen and Heath SQ6 system. I need 40 lines from stage, what combination of stage boxes can I use that will work for this system?
