Authentic Feel From Mesh Heads

The Alesis Express Nitro Mesh kit uses innovative mesh drum heads that feel like playing acoustic drums but with virtually no noise. The tension-adjustable mesh heads have a natural bounce and rebound that provides an authentic response under the sticks. Their incredibly quiet nature means you can practice day or night without disturbing others.

The Nitro drum module gives you a wide range of expressive sounds to shape your music. It contains 385 drum, cymbal and percussion sounds as well as 40 complete kits covering a variety of music styles. Easily tweak the kits to your needs or build custom kits from scratch. The built-in metronome, sequencer and 60 play-along tracks help build your skills in an engaging way.

Complete Connectivity for Practice and Performance

The Alesis Express Nitro Mesh kit provides multiple ways to integrate into your music workflow. It features USB-MIDI and traditional MIDI jacks to connect with computers, mobile devices and external gear. The headphone jack lets you practice in private while the stereo outputs can connect to an amplifier, PA system or recording interface. An AUX input enables jamming along to music from your audio player.

Premium Design for Realistic Feel

Alesis designed the Express Nitro Mesh kit for an authentic playing experience. The mesh drum heads have natural bounce and rebound like traditional drum skins. The durable steel rack keeps the drums and cymbals securely in place during even the most intense practice sessions. Anti-slip drum pads prevent the drums from sliding around. High-quality drum sticks, a drum key and all required cables come included so you can start playing right away.

The hi hat closing is way too loud, the rims on the drums are too large for easy access, the set itself is flimsy and has fallen apart multiple times while playing, and one year later the cords to the bass pedal and hi hat have completely stopped working. Spend the extra $ on nitro

Very nice beginner electronic set with ability to expand. Sound is nice with a Fender amp. Mesh drum heads have a good quality feel. The rims around the drums are too large and can get in the way of playing.

  • Great electric kit for the price!

I wanted a compact, electric kit, that would fit in the confined space that is my home studio area. After a short period of adjusting my stick approach, and fitting a cut pool noodle, under the kick and high-hat pedals, to silence the click, it plays great and sounds great!

  • Great starter kit!

I will use it to just play along with songs, maybe do a little home recording with my SG, bass, and keyboard. Nothing fancy, but just to have some fun. Pretty easy to set up, which is also good. I like the many different settings for kits, but since I am more classic rock oriented, too many of the options have a drum synthesizer tone rather that what a regular kit would sound like (but I have found a few). Overall, i am quite pleased.

Does this have a left-handed setup version?

    Open Reply - Gear-Support
Yes, you can play the Alesis Nitro Mesh Electronic Drum Kit left-handed. Reverse the setup: The standard drum kit setup can be reversed to play left-handed. This means placing the hi-hats and snare on the right side, and the ride cymbal and floor tom on the left side.
