The Akai Professional APC (Ableton Performance Controller) series has been the gold standard for interfacing with Ableton Live—the APC64 builds on the beloved feature set of the classic APC40 and adds a whole new level of hands-on control. APC64 boasts an 8x8 matrix of 64 RGB velocity-sensitive pads with poly-aftertouch, an eight-track 32-step sequencer, eight fully assignable touch strips and extensive I/O. With an included suite of plug-in instruments and effects and Ableton Live Lite, it’s loaded with everything you need to get started.

New to Ableton? Not a problem. APC64 comes with Ableton Live Lite, which gets you started in the most popular DAW ecosystem for composing, live looping and performing. Also included with APC64 is a collection of plug-in instruments and effects from AIR Instruments and SONiVOX. Let your creativity loose with classic keyboards and synths, and add a new dimension to sound with a selection of reverb, vocal processing and vintage-style effects. Courtesy of Sample Tools by Cr2, 1GB of loops and drum samples ensures you don’t miss a beat in your next production.

In addition to being the flagship Ableton Live controller from Akai Professional, the APC64 serves as a standalone sequencer with 16-note polyphony, eight tracks and 32 steps. You could even program the step sequencer or trigger events with the RGB pads. Go rogue and unplug from your computer—control your MIDI and CV hardware with its 1-in, 2-out MIDI I/O and eight CV/Gate outputs. Edit parameters and save presets in standalone mode, and freely assign RGB colors with the included APC64 software. Connect to USB power and hook it up to keyboards, drum machines, Eurorack modules and more for limitless ways to create.
