The 53 mm transducer, the largest AKG has ever built, was developed to get as close as possible to sonic perfection. During the development process, AKG developed the transducer to ensure the highest in-class headroom and dynamic range. 

With a 1.5 Tesla magnet system, the K812 delivers highly accurate imaging, while the copper-covered aluminum voice coil extends sound beyond the limits of human hearing, broadcasting a full spectrum of frequencies up to 54 kHz.
