ADAM Audio T7V - Active Nearfield Monitor

ADAM Audio T7V - Active Nearfield Monitor

ADAM Audio

Description

With the introduction of the T Series, musicians, engineers and producers working in music production studios, video post-production facilities and radio broadcast studios can now buy an affordable professional monitor that delivers performance approximating that of ADAM Audio's flagship S Series and iconic AX-Series monitors. Featuring a wide frequency response, excellent transient response, high dynamic range, small footprint and robust reliability, the new T Series monitors have the same natural and smooth sonic signature as all of ADAM Audio’s highly acclaimed monitors—but at a much lower price.

With the T7V, ADAM offers a 7" polypropylene woofer to work alongside its cabinet’s rear-firing bass reflex port to provide an ultrasmooth, highly accurate midrange and extended bass response.

The T7V also uses the U-ART 1.9" accelerated ribbon tweeter. Made of a high-tech polymide film, used in thermal blankets on spacecrafts and satellites, the U-ART tweeter's diaphragm provides pristine and extended high-frequency response up to 25kHz, a breakthrough solution for monitors in this price range.

    Punches above it's price range.

Just picked up a pair of these a few days ago. Been breaking them in and just started some remixes with them. Previous monitors were a pair of Tannoy 6.5 PBM, NS10M and latest, Rokit 5. These rival and top the Tannoys for soundfield reproduction....clear, transparent and expansive when compared to the Rokits. Lower mid to mids 200-1k are very detailed without being busy. Very easy to mix with at low volumes as well. Had to really push my Rokits to get the clarity I get at 1/3 the volume on the Adam. I'm surprised at what I was missing with the Rokits. The cabs are very light... to the point that I wonder about their durability, and need to be decoupled from whatever they are resting on as they will drive the surface fairly aggressively. I guess the cabs are built from very dense materials but I hear nothing from the cabinets themselves. Very tight sound. My mix space is fairly small but have zero issues with the rear ports sitting about 12-14" from the rear wall and angled in. All said and done, these are a real value at $500/pr and easily rival some in the $750-1000 range. Audition them. I think you'll appreciate them.

Hi Fi but not as accurate as it's been hyped

As a trance artist that's been signed to a big label I can't really recommend these monitors to anyone who mix/produce the kind of music I do, or similar (other EDMs). I have had these for more than half a year now just for your info. At first I thought these were great as they appear to be quite detailed and all. But I started to notice some problems in the mix that wasn't translating to other systems as well as I had expected it to First of all room is pretty big and these sound like there are no sub bass in it where as my old JBL 305's had more. Low mids are sketchy if you are mixing lots of elements altogether (for rock music or other simpler stuff you might not notice any problems). 2nd: while the high frequency tweeters showed great promise, they sound more "nice" than they should be accurate. Almost too pleasing to the point I would easily be satisfied with my mix and would notice errors when I go test my mix in the car/etc. 3rd: the stereo image isn't as great as the JBL's. Sweet spot is wide but no where nearly as 3D as the JBLs were. at the end of the day you've got to realize you get what you pay for. But for this price range, the only monitors I consider "professional" are the JBLs.

These are the best quality monitors for mixing in this price range! Lots of clarity and details - I went from rokit 6's to these and the change was unbelievable. I dial in my electric guitar tone in my IEMs, now it translates to my monitors!

I added this monitor to my electronic studio and is an excellent affordable match to my Adam Audio A7 series in my other studio. 😁

Picked up a pair of these from my local guitar center. I think they are a GREAT pair of monitors. Really good lows and mids, bright highs, and great volume. I love them and would totally recommend them to someone looking for a great pair of studio monitors.

My KRK Rokit 6s G3 died after being plagued by that plastic coating they put on the 3rd generation circuit boards. I decided to go with The Adam Audios because of all the great reviews. Here is another one to add to the list. Fantastic monitors for a small studio. Paired it with ARC 3 by Ik Multimedia for a slight room correction and never looked back. I highly recommend these monitors for mixing.

Is each unit sold as a pair of speakers or do you have to purchase them seperate? When I ordered the Adam 7" speakers, I noticed there was a double charge on price.
