On-Stage

collapse expand iconDescription

The WS7500 workstation is ergonomically designed for maximum comfort and work efficiency. The rectangular steel tube frame is sturdy enough to support all of your computer/keyboard gear, while the compact Z-frame and slide-out keyboard tray keep your setup clean and sleek.

The Z-frame design offers strength and stability. The desk also creates a comfortable and efficient working space for your recording studio or sound production environment. This particular table comes in rosewood with a black frame.

Top platform can be mounted aligned with the back legs of the Z-frame to line up your WS7500RB workstation flush with a wall, or mount the top platform 21?2" back to allow more usable space on the first platform.

The desk workstation's slide-out keyboard tray keeps your setup clean and organized.

Perfect for my set-up

The workstation went together easily with all parts clearly labeled and complete - they even provide an allen wrench and a box wrench for tightening the fasteners. The unit is very solid and has adjustable feet to compensate for any unevenness in the floor thereby ensuring a wobble-free workstation. I have a Yamaha 76-key keyboard, Mac Mini, monitor and speakers on it with room to spare.

So cheap and cheesy

I understood when I ordered this that it wasn't some custom built designer heirloom piece of furniture by any stretch but I was kind of thinking that even as simple as it was that it was probably fairly well made with the run of the mill laminate covered "wood" pieces made of cheap particle board on par with O'Sullivan or Busch office furniture. I was surprised at how wrong I was. The laminate was so poorly fitted and heat shrunk onto the particle board that you could see and feel bumps and seams near the edges and the plastic laminate had to be peeled away from several of the holes to allow for the bolts to go in. The metal frame finish was slightly better but it was no winner either. It had to be "coerced" into place to line up the last of the bolts during assembly. Once assembled you don't really see the issues so much but during assembly just brace yourself for how incredibly cheesy and cheap of a product it is and get ready for those "make it work" moments if you decide to buy this against my recommendations. I would have just stuck with the old tv cart setup that my wife's keyboard was on had I known this piece was even trashier than that. Oh well, live and learn. It's not like I saw any better alternatives.

Great for a studio music desk.. not for very compact situations as it's pretty deep with the KB tray. Assembly wasn't too bad, but there's extra holes on the top shelf for an accessory that the booklet doesn't mention.. which is confusing if you're unaware. Also, getting the KB shelf in tight is a pain, I would recommend attaching the top to the bottom of the shelf first, then placing the other assembled part on separately.. something the instructions are not good at pointing out.

This desk is great for my setup. If you pay attention to the instructions and put the right screws in the right holes, the setup is a breeze. Took me about an hour. I like that it has the ability for add-ons, but don't have any yet. I have a 13" Macbook Pro, a Presonus Faderport, a 25 key midi controller, and a 1U rack interface on the main desk. On the top shelf, 2 8" Rockit monitors and a 24 in display. Tons of space, feels sturdy.
