Well built but a little too cumbersome for travel

Securely holds guitar in place. However, the protector arm rests on the guitar's cutout, and I could see it possibly affecting the finish if left in place for too long. Seems like a locking headstock or neck system would be better. Still a sturdy stand.
Good Stand But Slight Design Flaw:

Hi All, You all know how sometimes the design of something looks good on paper, but in reality the functionality of it does not quite live up to the expectation of the design? My Observation: How the quality & funtionality of the spring mechanism which is the heart of the system works in the stand. It works as follows: As you place the bottom of the Guitar into the cradle on a slight 75/80 degree angle, pushing it down approx. 3" to 4" as you slide the top of the Guitar in under the rubber coated arm that secures the Guitar at the top of the stand. The issue is as you push down on the cradle at the angle needed, it puts angular pressure on the sliding shaft which houses the spring mechanisim causing it to bind a bit as it slides up and down. There is a definite amount of resistance compared to if you push straight down on the cradle without a guitar, which works smoothly. I even tried to apply a small amount of oil to the spring, which did not help. Other then that, I do like the overall design and look, and the intentional functionality of how the stand was designed to work. But only time will tell how long the stand will last with the resistance on the spring housing, the rubber cuhsions and how the nuts & bolts hold up under normal wear & tear. So depending on how much the stand is used, a few times a day, a few times a month or year will most likely give you the life span of the unit. I would suspect the average daily user should get a few years out of the stand and for the price of under $20.00, I am willing to take a chance on it since the design is pretty cool overall. Thx ElectricEddie

Looks like this is a relativley new product so here's my review. I was looking for a stand for my new Les Paul and wanted on that was stable and secure as I have toddlers in the home. This stand has a great fit and finish, came packaged very well, no knicks or scratches. It's compact but locks my guitar in securely. All contact points are covered with a finish friendly foam. Cables fit while guitar is in the stand and I can pick the guitar up and move it around while locked in the stand. Very nice product and highly recommend for the price.
Great stand, highly recommend!

looked at a lot of stands. Wanted one that was going to be secure and stable especially with two toddlers in the house. It's easy to move around with the guitar in it. Seems safe on the finish of my Les Paul. Fits well with the cord plugged in. Love it highly recommend.
