    Bought this to use for microphone and IPad while sitting on regular height chair as my other mic stands couldn't go low enough. Perfect for the application. Good quality, nice heavy round base, compact. Has to be heavy or it won't work. I generally use collapsible tripod bases because they are light and compact but this is great, exactly what I need.
