Description

The On-Stage Stands Heavy-Duty Euro Boom Mic Stand offers you a top-of-the-line professional stand. With a heavy, die-cast leg housing, thick tubing, and premium threads, the boom stand is also equipped with an ergonomic center clutch grip, coupled with an anti-rotating device on the lower shaft that makes for easy, one-hand height adjustments.

Additional features include: a solid steel, 5/8 - 27" threaded lug; an oversized, shock-mount locking washer; and a removable, steel counterweight. The all-metal boom clutch, zinc die-cast end caps, steel boom, and removable counterweight mean that this boom stand is built to last.

Boom Falls Out

The outermost boom won't stay attached to the larger boom. Despite the thumbscrew on the end working fine, the outermost boom falls out of the larger boom as you pull it out to make the boom longer. I bought three of these units and they all had the same problem! There is no telescoping-stop on the outermost boom! I would have bought the next-more-expensive stand at the brick-and-mortar Guitar Center store, but they cost $40 more! Pitiful design :(

    I use this to mic vocals as I play the piano. It is very sturdy and never sags or lets me down. Very high quality. Heavy duty, sturdy, solid.

    I'm new to recording so I'm slowly getting things together. I obviously needed a mic stand and didn't want to spend a lot of money. I was looking at cheaper stands but one thing kept being repeated in the reviews. Spend more and get quality. Boy these are quality stands. Every part feels solid and heavy duty. They aren't lightweight tubing but solid steel. Everything grips like it should. I'm using cordless mics and even full extended you can lock everything down and it'll stay in position even when you have to move it.
