Whoever designed this thing…

Whoever designed this thing wasn't executing the tray option with any kind of thought whatsoever. It isn't wode enough for a midi controller nor is it deep enough for one either. Even if you just wanted the tray for a computer keyboard, having the tray be big enough for a midi controller would hence make it big enough for both. Even if you wanted to rig it up for a suitable tray, the desk is too low to have it installed without your knees being in the way due to the low build of the desk. Thus again rendering it useless. Other than that it's fine I guess. But buyer be warned if you're planning on attempting to have your setup all on this desk. You won't be able to. The tray is a sporadic afterthought by the company.

Great desk. Only problem the top shelf is too high for monitors to be at my ear level and the main desk part is too low for monitors to be at ear level. I had to do my own altering by lowering the top shelf and making it a 4 space rack unit
Gc did pretty good

The desk comes in 2 boxes. I ordered black. Be prepared to either have a hand truck or help to get it where it needs to be. While putting mine together, I was alone. When mating the pieces together, you have to slot one piece into another. If you are not very careful, you may chip some laminate on the edges. That is my only grievance with this desk. I really like the way it looks. If you follow instructions and not tighten everything down until the end (with the exception of the pieces they explicitly tell you to tighten), you will be ok. I wish this product came with a blemish pen, pencil, or solution just in case any of the laminate scratches or chips. I noticed 2 fairly small chips I created during the build.
Good desk for small set up.

The only downfall I had with this desk is that some of the holes were not measured correctly for the screws, and a few of them were way out of line, so I had to improvise a bit during installation, yet it is still solid and holding up very well. The pieces are also labeled with a sharpie marker for you, so that was a huge help in following the instructions. There's an excellent amount of space on the desk shelf, and the video shelf. As a matter of fact, I'm able to fit a 31 inch 4K screen with a pair of 8 inch Event 2020Bas. Cable management is also excellent because you can hide those behind the rack spaces, I used some zip ties and have everything tucked away neatly. And if you need to add or remove cables, this desk is on wheels and very easy to move.......but move carefully of course. One thing to mindful of is this is not a very high desk, so taller people may or may not like it. I'm 5'10 and it's fine for me, but definitely a minor adjustment to my previous desk. Overall, this is a good desk for those with a small or medium setup, such as 25-49key midi keyboard, typing keyboard, 15inch laptop, etc. Definitely google search some images and get an idea of how people have their layouts on this desk.
