It does what is intended to do! The only downfall is the bottom space not been prepared for universal products, i.e. (variety of controllers).

Let me sat 1st the stand is very well made and does hold laptop very securely. If you need a laptop stand for studio, office or home use probably not what you want. Its WAY TO TALL at its lowest setting. Your laptop is a full 7 inches off the surface you put it on. So obviously sitting at a desk for work is very difficult & uncomfortable. The stand itself is of good quality and otherwise great. If you're a club dj standing up then this is your stand. If you're a producer in a studio sitting its completely useless.
Exactly what I needed!

I love this stand. It's simple, does the job, and quite easy to setup. To the other guy who did the review saying he had trouble putting it together....Good luck with everything else. It was straight forward and as a mobile DJ, taking it apart and reassembling it quite easy and doesn't take much time either.

s soon as I opened the box, I knew something was amiss... But I pressed on and took all the pieces out of the box, spilled the washers, wing nuts, screws, foam padding, steel and velcro (?) on the table. I picked up the instructions and ... Step 1: Take Pieces in hand. Step 2: Make Stand. Step 3... ? No step 2.5 even? "Alright, Self. It's ok, You're a smart guy. Just do what you always do and figure it out! "So washer, nut... washer... pole... pole extension... ok CRAAA....! Forgot the nut... now wrong hole... what?!" I looked at the front of the box and it looked simple enough. Made a second attempt... fumbled around for 20 minutes... I was able to put the stand together. But I never want to take it apart, which is a problem since I'm a mobile DJ and am at a different bar every night. I am going to take it apart though -- it's going back in the box and back to the store. I counted 61 pieces (including all the nuts and washers). Soon I will be counting my money back into my bank account.

Are clamps included with this? I don't see any in the photos.
