Neumann KH 310 II 8.25" Powered Studio Monitor - Left
Description
Hear the center of a mix with the kind of definition that makes small decisions easier to trust. The Neumann KH 310 II 8.25" three-way powered studio monitor builds on the original KH 310 with a redesigned DSP-controlled architecture, 525W of total amplification and up to 5dB higher maximum SPL while preserving the sonic character of its predecessor. Its three-way design pairs an ELFF woofer with Neumann's renowned 3" soft-dome midrange driver for detailed reproduction of vocals and instruments, while tight production tolerances achieve ±0.6dB linearity from 100Hz–10kHz for precise imaging. A sealed enclosure, 33Hz–21kHz ±3dB frequency response and MA 1 compatibility round out a revealing nearfield monitor for mixing, mastering, post-production and other critical-listening applications. Available in dedicated left- and right-channel configurations, the KH 310 II can be deployed in stereo or larger multichannel monitoring systems.
Three-Way Architecture Reveals Critical Midrange Detail
Separating low, mid and high frequencies across dedicated drivers allows the KH 310 II to reproduce dense arrangements with exceptional definition, particularly through the midrange where vocals, dialogue and instruments often compete for space. The 3" soft-dome midrange driver remains central to that performance, while redesigned amplification and DSP processing reduce harmonic and intermodulation distortion as monitoring levels increase. The resulting transparency and added headroom help engineers evaluate balances, masking and subtle tonal changes throughout demanding production sessions.
DSP and MA 1 Optimize In-Room Accuracy
An integrated DSP platform extends precision beyond the monitor itself by supporting Neumann MA 1 Automatic Monitor Alignment for frequency- and phase-based room correction. This allows the KH 310 II to be calibrated as part of a stereo or multichannel system, helping compensate for the acoustic effects of the listening environment and promote consistent translation. Balanced analog XLR and digital AES3id BNC connections accommodate modern studio workflows, while adjustable gain, output level and delay parameters provide additional control for integrating the monitor into advanced production and immersive-audio setups.
Sealed Enclosure Delivers Tight, Time-Accurate Bass
Rather than relying on a ported cabinet, the KH 310 II uses a sealed enclosure to support low group delay and accurate transient behavior when evaluating kick drums, bass instruments and other low-frequency information. Its ELFF woofer is engineered for low distortion at high excursion, combining substantial output with controlled bass reproduction. A backward-compatible form factor simplifies integration into existing KH 310 installations, while dedicated left and right versions support stereo and multichannel configurations. Finished in anthracite, the Neumann KH 310 II delivers revealing midrange detail, tightly controlled bass and room-correctable monitoring for critical production environments.
