With KOMPLETE KONTROL S-SERIES keyboards, like this S88 MK2 MIDI controller, music-making becomes a more intuitive, hands-on experience. Perform expressively, browse and preview sounds, tweak parameters, sketch your ideas, then navigate and mix your project—all from one fully integrated centerpiece for studio and stage. The S88 is the flagship model of the KOMPLETE S-SERIES, and with this MKII upgrade comes a host of new features that will improve your workflow, allowing you to focus more on your music. Just like the S49 and S61 MK2 versions, the S88 MK2 now features twin high-res color screens for browsing, tweaking, mixing and more. NI also introduced ergonomic pitch and mod wheels for the MKII design, while still incorporating the touchstrip for even more expressive control.

KOMPLETE KONTROL S88 MK2 combines an industry-leading 88-note weighted, hammer-action keybed with advanced control software to form a fully integrated studio centerpiece for producers, composers and performers alike. Get hands-on control of all your instruments and effects from one award-winning keyboard. See everything you need, when you need it, where you need it: The Clear View Display shows your instruments’ most important parameters right on the hardware, while the precision Light Guide pinpoints the location of sounds, key zones, switches, scales and more. 

All of your KOMPLETE and NKS instruments and effects have been pre-mapped to the KOMPLETE KONTROL hardware by the people who know them best—the instrument designers themselves. All essential parameters load instantly and are displayed across the Clear View Display, intuitively divided into pages. That means you can see exactly what you’re adjusting in real time—whether it’s in kHz, dB or BPM. Stay on key, with notes of the currently selected scale or mode lit on the Light Guide, or activate chord mode and create a rich progression by playing single keys. Then, switch on the built-in arpeggiator, and turn those single notes into an expressive musical performance. And if you’re new to the keys, Easy Mode maps all the white keys to whichever scale you like, so you’ll never hit a wrong note.

      This is by far the best midi controller that I've purchased and I upgraded from an m audio peo 88 if your using this board with the maschine software it's a blast using komplete kontrol not so much but with the maschine software no need to touch the mouse at all I have it paired with the maschine mk3 I actually enjoy making music again native instruments great job with this board

      I'm already invested in the native instruments ecosystem, but having finally sprung for Keyscapes I needed to move to a full 88 keys. I'd read some people thought the feel of the keys was too heavy so I was a bit put off. However, after sitting down and playing the grand piano with Keyscapes I was blown away by the authentic touch. Many keyboard controllers lack nuance and feel, the dynamic range of touch on this board coupled with Keyscapes is the best playing experience I've yet had after decades playing. Highly recommend for piano players.

      I own the 61-key Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol (s61 mk2) and loved it so much, I decided to upgrade to the s88 MK2. I am so glad I did! The feel of the keyboard is AMAZING! I don't know if is in my head, but I swear my instruments sound better using this particular controller. Playing my pianos and electric pianos (Keyscape, NI, Lounge Lizard) is a wonderful experience on this controller. I haven't yet had time to set up the transport controls to use with my DAW (Logic), but I use Maschine for this anyway. Plus, it looks AWESOME! It is a beautiful instrument and I highly recommend it if you are in the market for a great controller, particularly if you run the Native Instruments stuff, although it works fine with other vst's.

      I use this mostly with Cubase and the Komplete collection from NI. The DAW integration is great. So easy to control many parameters directly from the keyboard. The keys feel a little stiff to me but that might be a matter of getting used to them from my previous controller. Native Instruments still hasn't implemented a way to turn the keybed lights completely off for those who find them distracting. This has been a long-standing issue with many users but something that can be fixed in the future.

      In addition to being able to use your NKS files with the onboard keyboard screens, can you also use the keyboard as a general midi controller so that I can use it to play my other, non-NKS plug-ins (such as Spectrasonics and EZDrummer) through my DAW? I just have not seen that answered anywhere. Thanks
