The sound is good, as long as you already have recording software..

I purchased this product after reading all the good reviews and hearing good things about it from the workers at Guitar Center. The interface and modeling features were simple to install and work good. The KORE drums wont work no matter what i try, and the cubase disk is absolutely worthless. There is no product key for it and Ive been trying to get an answer from both Native Instruments and Steinberg tech support. Both companies are leading me in circles and avoiding the problem. Needless to say, if you need support with your product you wont get it from them. So as long as you have software already installed, the sounds you get from this are amazing. But if you're planning to get this package and have everything ready to record, youd be better off looking elsewhere.

This is a great price for an awesome set of recording equipment. Take it from someone who had absolutely NO experience with recording and audio interfaces, This thing is easy to use, and really has killer quality. You can totally record great demos with just what's inside the box. Guitar Rig 3 has TONS of effects plugins and Cubase is just easy to use and navigate. Not to mention Youtube has all the tutorial vids you'd ever need. Buy this!
Spectacular Tone!

Got this for a revamp of my old recording setup. Simply amazed by the flexibility of the sound! Found only one quirky little bug with it! (A weird lag when i booted it up with garageband (mac) when trying to show a friend quickly. Protools runs way better! When i bought it i thought it was the full Guitar Rig 4 program, it not ,but in no way does it feel like a demo of the real thing! Just a few less presets and models. Not any great metal tones that ive found, but great for any other type of tone! (Santana, Weezer, British Invation, and on and on!) Only disappointment being that the preset library at Native Instruments website will not work with this software. Bummer. All in all a great piece of equipment! (Used on a macbook pro, into a dual amp setup (Crate VTX212 120w and a Vintage LabSeries L3 60w)
Low dollar, great sounds

I've tried other guitar modeling software (Guitar Amp Pro, Amplitube, Line 6, SansAmp, etc.), but nothing sounds as good as Guitar Rig and Version 4 is even better than the previous releases. Major improvements are the JMP and Plexi emulators, the octave effect and the psychedelic delay. For the money, it can't be beat. My only wish is that the Session I/O had more inputs.
