I purchased this to hold three heavy old Kurzweils. It would have been nice if it included mounting hardware, or at least have it available to purchase separately. I had to do some searching to find appropriate mounting stuff. My two heaviest 3-rack space Kurzweils could only be mounted with two screws, as there is no position on it anywhere that would allow four. But the worst part is that it is somewhat flimsy. One of the castors broke on day one. I'm giving this two stars because it is probably fine for lightweight gear.

I bought this mixer rack to use in recording studio. It was simple to erect ( just 6 screws ) but terribly out of square. I had to use a ratchet strap to pull it in so the bolts would line up worried if the tack welds would hold ( they did ) I would say this is a quantity vrs quality issue. It'd been nice if it came with mounting screws.

  • Exactly what I needed !!

I received the rack stand and quickly assembled it. When I installed my mixer, the mounting holes in the top tray did not line up well. The rails in the top tray were far from square, leaving uneven gaps between the mixer and the rack rails. I took the rack stand completely apart and reassembled it using a 2 foot square to assure all horizontal and vertical parts were at 90 degrees to each other. (Hint: as the horizontal support rails are screwed into position to hold the stand together, try rotating each rail into the position that achieves the best 90 alignment relative to the vertical rails). The top tray was not at all square, which required carefully bending the arms to improve the 90 degree alignment. Once all parts were assembled squarely, the mixer fit very well. When all components were installed, the rack stand was sturdy and remained in proper alignment. I was not impressed with the spot welds, and was afraid they would not hold while I bent the frame into proper alignment. Luckily, it all held together until assembled. I used a few blank steel panels, 1U and 2U sizes, to assure alignment was maintained. The wheels were loose and worked very poorly on carpet. I removed them since the rack will easily slide on carpet without them. For the cost, I am happy with the rack stand. There is an identical rack stand on the market for about twice the cost that seems to avoid the alignment problems. However, with a little patience in assembly, this rack stand does work and meets my needs.

Look, if you plan to tour the world and gig with this......you picked the wrong piece of gear. If you plan to set it up and forget it, then you more than get your moneys worth. It went together in a few minutes with no issues. I did cut some wood for the bottom base to place my effects pedals, and also for the top to mount my mixer and looper. Overall I would buy another for studio, or rehearsal
