Seems to be just fine
I just received my tripod boom microphone stand today. It was lighter than I expected it to be. The outer box was just a bit mangled, some of the wrapping tape had come loose, there was plenty of packing paper and an inner box. The stand itself seems to be in fine shape. I set it up, was able to mount my microphone holder (not included) and microphone. It is highly adjustable. The vertical support goes really high, maybe up to 6 ft which is good for my purpose. Vertical height, boom angle and boom length all very adjustable. I just have to remember to not force any of the adjustments; that's why I had to buy a new one in the first place. Bonus: The price was terrific and shipping to my home was free! Thrilled with the whole thing.

Limited function
I bought this product a few years ago at Kalamazoo Guitar Center. I planned on using it for a home recording studio. Initially, it was to be a vocal Mic stand. This stand could not handle having small adjustments made from time to time let alone fully taken down to move. I decided it would service better as a drum cymbal overhead stand. I put an sm57 in the air and the stand started to fall over. The base isn't heavy enough to use a boom extended with even that small of a microphone. At some point i had to take the boom assembly apart to refinish it and reassemble it because it stopped wanting to move. Now I've found the treads on the adjuster part of the boom are worn down and I can slide it on and off without much force. Likely the cause of over tightening to keep the stand sturdy. They don't have just the adjuster part of the arm to replace so I'm gonna tape it and keep it stationary. I am going to buy round base stands with more durable material from now on.

50% Broken Before Use

I picked up four of these stands, and two came broken at the hinge, which is made with plastic. Specifically, the plastic holding the arm snapped off. If they can't survive internal transport and warehousing before reaching the customer, no way they're gonna survive gigging or even studio use.
If I ever need another mic stand, I'd buy this.

I use this mic stand at home. It took a little effort to get it to hold steady in position but I did get it to stay.

How do I hook up a microphone to this stand? Do I need an adaptor or will any normal microphone automatically be able to be attached?
The Musician's Gear MG100B will require a clip. There is no such thing as a "normal" microphone. I don't know what mic you have. Please start here --------------------- Musician's Gear Heavy-Duty Mic Clipsubmitted3 years ago

What's the max height and extension? Also what's the weight?
I’m very sorry, the manufacturer has not made that information available. You never want to use a boom stand to it's max extensions.submitted3 years ago

I purchased one of these about 6 months ago and the threads completely sheared off. The box says there is a one year warranty. Where do I go for the warranty?

What size thread is the end of the boom arm? My standard 5/8 inch mic clip does not screw on to the end of this stand. It is an odd size thread which renders the entire product useless!
