A great deal for the price, whether you play a 4 or 5 string
I have been playing over forty years. I played the Sunset Strip in the 1980s, so when we weren't playing gigs, we were rehearsing. I have never found strings worth $8-$10 apiece. I own a dozen basses; 4-strings, 5-strings, fretted, and fretless. Currently I use these on a fretless 4-string tuned BEAD, so with each pack,I get a free G-string! ;) At their current price, these Musicians' Gear 5-string sets are a great deal!

You get what you pay for
I needed a cheap set of strings. I had used the 4 string set before and they were great. This set out of the package the d sounded dead. I put them on before a show and within the first half of the show my fingers were BLACK. Something was coming off the strings onto my fingers. Okay well I cleaned the strings with string cleaner and no more black stuff. The very next show broke the A string. It might have been just that set. I have another set to try. We shall see.

Even if you only play a 4 string bass, these 5 string sets are a better deal than you'll ever see. I've used this brand before and they were bight sounding and lasted a good long time.
They fit my Stingray special

These strings have that brightness and output that any big brand out there has to offer, idk about the alloy since these look more white/blue-ish than my usual rotosounds, these just do the job, do the test, if they stick to the bass pickup magnets, it means they´re good!

The Musician's Gear line of strings is not a big line up, but it is a good one. Elloree Guitars keeps these in stock for what is built and serviced.
