Fine product for short distances.

16 gauge wire at lengths of 10' or less is way more than enough to connect from any Amplifier hear to a speaker cabinet. For longer distances more than 20' your should think of upgrading the cable size to maintain fidelity and power loss.

You get what you pay for

Straight out of the box it didn't work. Pulled out the multimeter and found one sleeve wire solder had broken off. A quick hit with the gun and got it fixed. For the price it was a minor setback as I'm used to having to repair broken gear. I can see this lasting awhile if it is set in a position where it doesn't move often. As far as gigging with these I personally wouldn't recommend it unless you pack a soldering gun with you just in case. Doesn't exactly fit my needs as I use it for a connection between several tube amps to an attenuator in a studio setting for recording. Just wanted a quick replacement that would last a few sessions and I believe it will do just that.

I just needed a basic speaker cable from a head to a cabinet. I used it 3 times and on the 4th it started sputtering and then failed. Maybe 2 hours of actual playing time. It is now just past the return window.

It works, but the quality and craftsmanship is questionable. The barrel that conceals the solder points doesn't stay tight so I'm constantly having to screw it back on and the solder points themselves look pretty rough. I could've done a much better job myself soldering it, but hey for less than 10 bucks it works well enough! I really should just start making my own cables though..

  • Good buy.

Cable as described. Needed a short speaker cable to connect a pedal amp to a speaker cab. Does the job without breaking the bank.
