Maintenance and string changes are much easier now
Just used this to brace my acoustic so I could easily change the strings and clean up the neck. The material that the mat and cradle are made of create a nice grip on the guitar and neck. The guitar didn't slide at all even when applying pressure. This sure makes life easier.....no more laying my guitar on a slippery blanket or trying to brace it between my knees when working on it. Just lay the mat on a sturdy table and you are set to go. The cradle can be turned to accommodate the necks of acoustics, electrics, ukes, probably any stringed instrument.

I wouldn't buy this package again
The neck support is very nice and worth buying by itself but the pad is over priced and not worth more than 5 dollars. It's made of the same rubber as the liners for tool boxes but at a much higher price. A towel would work just as well. So I have to give the package 1 star and the neck support 4 stars

I use this cradle and mat to restring and service my guitars and basses. I have to say that this product is top notch and is very durable. Your guitar or bass will not slip or get scratched and the cradle holds the neck with ease. I also really like the string tuck feature on the cradle and would highly recommend it.

Very nice product of you work on your own guitars. The neck support block has several options for different angles and heights. Better than the beach towel on the table. Lol
