Master Guitar Fret Crowning with the Safe Zone S-File Tool by MusicNomad

Description
Next, there's the inventive blue silicone comfort grip, a breakthrough that reduces hand fatigue like no other. The offset design provides both added leverage when filing and allows you to clear the guitar body when filing over it. It works amazing for crowning the most popular and widely used fret wire material, nickel silver, found on all acoustic guitars, banjos, ukuleles, and most electric and bass guitars. As with any file, using it on stainless steel fret wire will shorten the file life. Stainless steel is used on a small percentage of electric and bass guitars. Be sure to check the manufacturer's fret specification before using it on your instrument.
The S-File works on all fret sizes, has custom lines on the nose for spot crowning, a wide channel that is not too flat, a common complaint of other crowning files, a convenient hang hole, and so much more. MusicNomad's exclusive nose design features two lines for spot fret crowning. Position the line to be 90 degrees(straight up) from the frets and you will just be filing right where the line intersects with the fret. It's so simple but functional.
Don't lose or loan your S-File. You'll look forward to the next time you crown your frets. That's MusicNomad quality, bringing fret care to the next level.

#sweepstakes This thing is great. I've never crowned frets before, but with this tool I was able to do the job and feel good about the results. Good quality and the shape of the tool is well thought out - I had no problem crowning the frets on my Telecaster while the neck was attached to the body of the guitar. Make sure you use the correct profile for your frets - I found that for my MIM Fender the larger of the two profiles worked best.
Works great

This was my first time crowning frets and I didn't want to mess up. This tool works great. It keeps you from filing down too far and leaves a perfect crown. After I used the file I finished it up by polishing with the music nomad frine polish.
