Works well. Has a small footprint on the pedalboard.

I was wary of getting this pedal simply because I had seen no reviews showing it with bass. Then I saw one, and my mind was immediately made up. I ordered the Yellow Comp. It came, I tried it and it works as advertised. No dual or triple channels, No extra functions. No problems and no complaints. For the price it's great, and I really like these micro-pedals.

Works great for acoustic guitar. Tone control is very useful with making my Baggs Lyric pickup sound better. Small footprint is great. Probably not best for electric guitar swish.

It's a simple and cheap, it serves its purpose. If you need a little more drive, it can do it. If you want all your notes and picking to sound around the same attack, this'll do it. If you want to use it as a boost or cut option, this will do that too, much like many compressors.

There is not a better optical compressor under $100. This is as good as you can get.

Having tried several well known compressors, I came to the conclusion that compression wasn't for me. I never could bond with the pop and flat sound compressors were giving me. They altered my tone and flattened the dynamics when turned up and did little to nothing when turned way down. After a bit of research, it turns out all the compressors I tried were based on the old ROSS circuit. A little more research brought me to the Diamond optical compressors and then onto a micro pedal optical, the Mooer Yellow Comp. A great little pedal that allows notes to bloom nicely without coloring the tone too much. I prefer the compression knob set to around 9:00 o'clock. Works well with cleans and before a light overdrive. A nice small addition to my pedalboard. If you don't like compressors but need to smooth out chord strikes or legato lines, this pedal may just do it for you.
