Bizarre humming at all times unless in bypass mode, like other reviews the hi octave is not in tune & this varies from note to note, it's tone is a very unpleasant shriek; low octave is barely audible thru my amp, even the dry tone was artifical & definitely not just passing my bass's sound thru. Completely unusable - returning the pedal - other reviewers with similar symptoms say exchanges don't clear up the issues. I'm wondering if there's a strange interference between this & many modern digital amps?

It usually takes GC a couple of days to get stuff in the mail. No exception here. The pedal! I find that if you put the effect front and center, say noon on the vols for each octave, it becomes extreme quickly. My micro-pog went from 4 tune, organ/mellotron, 2 tune lead flavoring, to one tune lead, so I decided to reclaim the space on my board with this. 50/50 reviews, but for the price, I took a chance. So far so good for Blue on Black. I haven't tried it for anything else yet, if it works for anything else, for this price, I'll consider it a bonus. I haven't had it long enough to comment on durability, but the rubber mat on the bottom seems permanently imbibed with a petroleum derivative, as velcro hook will not stay put.

I have watched many reviews of this pedal and saw a nice comparable sound next to EHX POG and Micro POG. But I did not fail to notice the poor reviews it received here and thought maybe those users just got bad units. Well it seems I did too because the settings are VERY inconsistent with this pedal. Some settings the high pitch was noticeably sharp and on some it worked well and on other settings it seemed flat. I Have demoed the POG many times just never pulled the trigger to buy because of the price, but now it seems I have no choice because this is far inferior. Any other effects paired with this only made the issue worse. I won't say its unusable. Its sort of creepily out of tune so if you want some kind of Avant Garde octave sound this may be for you. Just not for me.
Buy it. You'll love it.

This pedal is versatile and comes with introductory instructions. The variety of sounds that are possible with this device are amazing. One very good feature is that it is without distortion, so you can play clean or combine with your other pedals to get just the sounds you want. It costs way less than competitive Octave pedals.
