Mitchell T233E Mahogany Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar

The Mitchell T233E mahogany auditorium acoustic-electric guitar provides an affordable platform to launch your playing to the next level. Its auditorium-sized mahogany body resonates with a warm, balanced tone that rings out clearly unamplified or through an amp. The forward-shifted scalloped X-bracing optimizes projection and articulation for a bold, dynamic sound with rich overtones.
Streamlined Neck Profile and Nut Width For Comfortable Playability
The slim mahogany neck and 1.7" nut width of the T233E feel familiar to most players, whether you have small or large hands. Chords and single-note lines are easily formed and transitions are smooth up and down the rosewood fingerboard. Twenty high-profile frets provide ample room for you to explore the guitar's tonal range.
Onboard Preamp and Tuner for Plug-And-Play Convenience
The T233E's built-in preamp with 3-band EQ and tuner allows you to plug into an amplifier or PA system with no additional gear required. Dial in the tone you want for any musical situation from a crisp, shimmering sound to a deep, bassy growl. An LED tuner ensures you're in tune before stepping on stage so you can focus on your performance.
Premium Components at an Unbeatable Price
Die-cast tuners provide accurate and stable tuning while a Graph Tech Tusq nut and saddle add resonance and sustain. D'Addario's coated phosphor bronze strings are included to complete the full-featured package. The sound is great and the guitar overall is a really great color. I love the overall body style and it's a great size for beginners and those who have been playing for awhile. The guitar came stringed and a battery. This was a present for my partner and he absolutely loved it. I would definitely purchase this again.

I have played on and off over the course of my life, but not regularly. I wanted something inexpensive to carry around and not worry about something happening to it. I have a 1998 Martin D15 and don't want to take it out of the house. I have a couple other guitars as well. The strings are the worst I have ever felt. Tried playing before replacing them, UGH! The frets are sharp and need to be filed, badly. These two things make it not playable out of the box. Not without alot of discomfort anyway. It is going to need to be set up. I am debating on returning it. By the time I invest in a full set up it will jack the cost of this guitar up another $75-$100 Another thing that surprised me, not in a good way, is how many times I had to turn the tuning pegs before the string began to tighten. I have *never* experienced this before. Cheap tuners. It has a pretty good sound unplugged as well as plugged into an amp. I would recommend it for a beginner. But, be sure to take it to your local music shop (if you order it online) and have it professionally set up. For ease of play, I suggest changing to 11's or even 10's on the strings. I like Exlir strings. Go with a good quality string. The lighter guage will allow you to play with more ease and comfort.
I would buy it again and suggest it to a friend

I bought it for a travel guitar. It plays well stays in tune. For the price excellent. I mean it's a cheap guitar but if you take your time and play a few before you pick one. You will find one that they got it right that day. Lol. I recommend a set up makes a huge difference. It's also free. Can't beat that.
