I purchased this ukulele just over one year ago. This is the first of four ukuleles that I own and I rank it at #4. I regret not doing enough research. It looked good but the sound quality is lacking and not as good as the other ukes, which were less expensive. I took it back to GC and had the strings change out and it did not help. Now it's just a nice decoration on the wall.

Great looking and solid built uke. Image is too red on site. Actual uke is whiskey color like description. A bit too heavy with the gloss, but looks and feels like a solid top. I changed strings to Worth brown which improved volume.

  • Even Guitar Center Won't Buy It Back

I have a concert uke I love but wanted a tenor and bought this one during the pandemic and hated it. It's just completely flat sounding, like playing a cardboard box. There was a bad buzz on the first fret so it got set aside to get returned when I would be able to go back to the store but it got forgotten about. Being a couple of years now I took it back to Guitar Center just to get a little something back out of it for trade in towards a good tenor uke that I actually get to play before purchasing. Over the phone they said they would definitely buy a uke but they looked at this one for about 10 seconds, laughed and said they don't want THIS uke. They completely bashed the build quality of it. If they aren't willing to buy it then that should be all you need to know. I gave it to a toddler in the family to play with and it's fitting. It's basically a very pretty toy uke with a decent Fishman electronics in it.

  • Do NOT buy! Keep looking

Looks great, but that is as far as that goes. It feels like plastic, very thick varnish that arrests the tone wood (aka. plywood). I have a couple of concerts ukuleles (one being a Mitchell) that has a better sound and costs WAY less. There is a buzzing sound while playing.

I bought this because soprano or concert is to small for me. It sounds great. Easy to tune and stays in tune. Easy to play. I hooked it to my sound system and it sounds like a professional player. On-board tuner is great as well. Have Master volume, low, mid and High. Excellent piece. Very shiny and sounds great.

I would like to know the what type and brand of strings are original to the instrument. They were very difficult to change. I took it to my local Guitar Center and they used much thinner strings for the replacement. It sounds ok, but not as good as the original strings. Thanks
