No regrets with my purchase.
This is a fun-to-play uke. George Harrison was right when he said you couldn't play one without smiling. I tried several in-house but kept coming back to this one. It's a tenor. Stays in tune, well built, beautiful finish. Bought a case from Kala after much measuring and phone call with a Kala rep, and it fits super snug and well protected. Many times, I grab it as I walk by and just play old tunes that come to mind. Sultans of Swing is a hoot to play. Guitar is my main interest, but this uke is just so much fun and relaxing! Plus, it was sale priced.

Others much better for the price point.
The first Uke had a cracked bridge, the replacement was even worse with a very visibly twisted neck. The store manager tried to convince me that these defects were normal. I went to a different store and had a much better experience and exchanged the MUT70S for a Fender that cost slightly more, but money well spent. I was attracted to the Mitchell because of the solid wood top, but the laminate wood construction of the Fender is fine for the price point and it is well constructed. I would like to eventually get a solid wood uke, but know it will cost more money to get a decent one, perhaps when I play well enough to justify it I'll have saved enough money.

I already have a Mitchell Concert uke in my collection, as my daily go-to, and what I bring with me when I travel. I wanted a tenor for a different tone, and I was not disappointed! I have purchased other ukes through Guitar Center, including my concert and a Stagg electric.
you'll definitely love the sound!

I compared this model to the Honolua Koala Solid top Acacia which is 4x expensive solid built with great sound. This model MUT70S feels great to play and sounds great too. So if you looking for something in budget with beautiful looks feel and sound, get this before supplies runs out.
Recommended even for performer!

I have this amazing model. Originally with dGBE strings set. I replaced it with pepe romero baby Baritone dGBE set better than comes with it. I also tried Earnie Ball Low G black Nylon gCEA. Sounds better than super nylgut and new nylgut. Then I tried AG+AQ gCEA unwound low G from strings by mail. Even amazing sound. This model is truly nice warm big sound in any strings I tried. I wasn't sure if this was going to be a gift for a friend, a surprise for my wife, or whether I'd keep it. I'm a sucker for looks and the price was right. One look in person and we decided to keep it in the family.

Can I use standard GCEA strings on this model? Cause it said this is tuned in Baritone ?
You can. It comes as D-G-B-E because it's a bit bigger.submitted3 years ago

I'd like a tenor uke with low G. But this says it's tuned like a baritone. Can I get low G and nice little red strings?
