My wife bought this one for me. The reviews are good but the guitar is not. First one I got was cracked and the cables inside were not even connected. And when trying to connect the. Shoes were not even long enough to connect. Returned it and the second was the same with the cables- not connected. Shows they don't take pride in their guitars.

I bought this at guitar center in Lake Forest and I am very impressed. I've bought other cheap guitars for practice before and they were set up like crap and unpleasant to play. This actually feels really good to play and is nearly flawless. The only issue is some fret buzz, but that's to be expected with the low action that this guitar as. It'll be fun to practice and record on until I can buy a high level acoustic instrument.

I've been playing guitar for 50 years and recently added a Mitchell to my collection and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I'm actually blown away at the quality of the materials put into my mitchell.and it looks as good as it plays and sounds. I don't care what level player you are these Mitchell's are unbelievable for the money and shouldn't be over looked.
yes i highly recomment this great guitar.

I flagged this review but my comments do not show. What I said was I rubbed down the fretboard and fret wires with steel wool then soaked it in mineral oil for a few minutes. Now the strings bend very well. Its perfect now.
Im delighted to own such a fine playing sounding guitar.

In 1973 I bought my first acoustic Epiphone that has a 45mm nut width. My fingers are not big just medium, but any less width and I tend to touch the strings beside the one i want to push down, a little too often. So after 39 years my epiphone needs major reworking that im not in a position to do that just now. I began a search for the same wide nut acoustic for an economic price and took a chance on this Mitchell which compared to others is almost free. I opened it up and inspected it in detail and it was amazingly flawless. Then stretched the strings and tuned it to my boss clip on tuner. Then I lowered the action with the truss rod until it was just right then tuned it again. And its never out of tune any more than the normal shrinkage of the cold nights. Just yesterday my wife walked in as I was playing it and i stopped and said, '' you know i really lucked out on this low price guitar. i can play this at that restaurant if they have live music again. I figured id need to get a more expensive guitar for that next year but this one sounds as good as i could want.'' Thank you Mr. Mitchell for giving us this excellent beautiful guitar.

It says this guitar has a "select" spruce top. Is that the same as a "solid wood" or "solid spruce" top? Or is this a "laminate wood" top??
This guitar has a laminated spruce top.
