This is my first volume pedal, so I don't have any experience to make comparisons. Regardless, this volume pedals doesn't affect my signal at all (as far as filtering out any of the high end), has a smooth, linear volume taper, and feels like it's built to last. I'm glad I paid the extra to get this level of quality. It sure beats trying to swells with the volume knob of the guitar. One word of caution, the accessories (board mounting kit and TRS to dual TS cable for breaking the output to a tuner) are a bit overpriced compared to other products offered that so the same job. Mission Engineering's shipping was expensive as well. Save yourself some money, and look other places.
