collapse expand iconDescription

Gemini 2 is a 2x12" full-range digital amplified speaker cabinet with integrated studio-quality USB audio interface for use with modelers and software-based guitar systems.

Mission EmPower Technology features multi-channel class-D power amplifiers, active crossovers with variable EQ, and full-range co-axial drivers, all designed from the ground up to work together as the perfect amplification solution for modeling systems.

Gemini 2 features a 2 x 110W internal amplifiers, 2–12" low-frequency drivers, with 1" coaxial high-frequency drivers providing a stereo solution in a single cabinet. Gemini 2 works perfectly with guitar processors with stereo outputs. Get the best out of ping pong delays, and swirling rotary speaker emulations. Create dual path patches assigning different cab sims to the different physical drivers. Blend clean and dirty signal chains to get you ultimate tone.

Pro-audio 1/4" jack and XLR connectors, high-speed USB interfaces connect Gemini amps directly with software-based guitar systems on computers, tablets and smartphones, as well as dedicated guitar processors. EmPower EQ control allows blending between a flat or a more traditional guitar cab frequency response. A switchable stereo output allows you to connect two Gemini units together. The studio-quality onboard digital audio interface features bit-perfect class 2 stereo audio with, selectable sampling rates up to 192kHz and 24-bit. This allows you to play and record directly into your PC or Mac without any additional hardware.

Gemini's sophisticated power system provides a number of benefits not found in traditional guitar amplifiers. The integrated 100–240 input voltage and 50/60Hz compatibility means you can use Gemini almost anywhere in the world without requiring heavy and expensive transformers. Just connect directly to wall power wherever you are with a suitable cable. Power-saving features, such as a high-efficiency power supply and deep sleep modes for internal components, mean Mission Gemini's use a fraction of the power of a regular amp, costing less to run and wasting less energy. The included V-Lock power cable ensures the power is correctly connected, and protects against the cable being accidentally pulled out.

The Gemini 2 will grace any stage or studio. Each cabinet is handmade from 3/4" void-free, Baltic birch with a high-quality black Tolex covering, black basket weave acoustic speaker covering and chrome hardware. Guitarists using rack-mount guitar processors such as the Fractal Audio-Axe-FX, Avid Eleven Rack or Pod HD PRO can use the Gemini H, 19" rack head and build the perfect modeling half stack. The Gemini 2 comes with sturdy rubber feet on both the base, and one side and can be used with the speakers in side-by-side mode for normal stereo, or vertical mode for PA style use.

Note: In order to fully experience stereo sound using the Gemini 2 and certain rackmount processors like the Eleven Rack, a Y cable must be used. Sold separately.

  • Brand New Gemini Cab STOPPED WORKING after ONLY 90 days

In October 2022, I bought the Gemini 2 cabinet brand new from Guitar Center and I used it exclusively with my AxeFx 3 without any issue until one day the cabinet just turned off for no reason and would not power back on. I tried different outlets, etc. and it just won't turn on and I can hear nothing or otherwise get any response from the cab. Since it had only been about 90 days, I contacted Guitar Center and I expected they would just have me take the cabinet in to my local Guitar Center and that they would replace it with a new one and apologize for the inconvenience. But, they didn't. Instead, they told me I had to contact Mission Engineering and so I did. I called Mission Engineering and no one ever called me back. I also submitted the online form on Mission Engineering's website and I asked them to contact me and they have never contacted me. I spent about $2,300 (price plus tax) on the Gemini cab and over the years I have spent tens of thousands of dollars at Guitar Center. I asked them to take care of this obviously defective product and they have done NOTHING. I also previously purchased Mission Engineering equipment including a pedal that never worked. I never write reviews but it's unfair to sell a product that is defective and then completely ignore the customer. I am so disappointed in both Guitar Center and Mission Engineering. BUYERS BEWARE.

Unbelievable. Ordered this cab and received what looked like an old floor product missing any power cables or instructions, packaged in a thrown together box. What's worse is that the cab itself doesnt work, and crackles and pops instead of making any decent sound. The hunk of junk itself is 70lbs, and isnt easy to move around, so returning it is going to be a huge inconvenient hassle. I really have no clue what Guitar Center was thinking when they decided that this was going to be a smart thing to do with such an expensive item, especially after paying for 1 day shipping additionally. Now the wait to receive another is in 1 month. Completely disappointed and regretting my decision to go with Guitar Center on this one.

I was hemming and hawing about buying a 2nd tube amp and a 2x12 cabinet. I currently have the Peavey 6505 plus 112 combo amp. I really wanted to go with the Randall Satan but no one had it in stock and there was quite a delay before it was to be available. So instead I went with the Kemper. Then I was concerned on whether to go with a frfr setup or stereo tube amp. I did a lot of Investigation on YouTube and various guitar magazines and decided on going with the mission engineering Gemini 2. I was worried about the amp in the room feel. This thing has it and then some. I don't believe how much power this thing has. It's extremely clean and the low end is tight. Really great sound. It says it has a fan in it. There is no vent for it that I can see. I never really knelt down and put my ear next to the front of the cabinet but this thing is really really quiet.

I had originally paid for the new item and not an open box item. I was contacted by the Manhattan store and informed that an open box version was the only one in stock. I received the cab and there was damage on the bottom of the cab that was not mentioned, they also did not include the cables or anything else that would have come with the cab. They shipped it with a paint covered 2' cord. To further the disappointment Missions customer support is so bad that they would not send the missing items either.

I play 80's rock. Been looking for the ultimate tone and set up for a Line 6 Helix. After trying other FRFR amps and tube amps, this is hands down the best. Professional sound quality. Highly recommend it. Make sure you buy the XLR cable directly from Mission Engineering for Stereo sound

  • FANTASTIC with an Axe-Fx II XL

Using this GM2 with my Fractal Audio Axe-Fx II XL and the tone is spot on perfect! Had been running the Axe through an Engl 840/50 poweramp, and then into dual Marshall 1960AHW 4x12's, and let me tell you ... the GM2 sounds significantly better, allowing the Axe to do all the work modeling the effects, cabs, etc. Highly recommend....
