I put this neck on a 2001 squirt strat affinity and it all fit up very nice and easy. Strings ran nice and straight. Only bad thing, and it's a real problem in my opinion, is the 14th fret seems like it was pressed on too tight or maybe at some point took some percussive damage because it frets out on the 13th fret unless I have the action set extremely high. The frets in front and behind are all level to each other so I'm not sure there's any fixing it. Other than that, it's a nice neck, and didn't have any issues with the other MM neck I bought.

  • Overall decent neck for the price

Bought this on sale which made it a great buy. Was building a guitar from spare bits while cooped up at home. Upon receiving the neck, it was packaged very well and was likely playable as is. I made sure to do a close inspection of the neck and find multiple surface finish flaws such as dents and dings as well as glue staining under the finish of the headstock. I reached out to MF customer service and they hooked me with some store credit for the issues. The issues wouldn't affect play at all, but its supposed to be new so it shouldn't have surface flaws. That said, everything that matters was in good order. Neck was straight, frets were we set and decently rounded. Ever so slight bit of fret spout but nothing worse than name brand guitars I've picked up off the wall before. Fretboard was very dry but with a little lemon oil it looked great. I had a friend file and polish the frets. Nut is cut a bit high but thats to be expected. Its glue in pretty well so the only "easy" way to set it properly is to file the slots or just keep it as is. Tuner holes were drilled well but the buyer will need to drill holes for tuner screws, string tree and neck bolts. Take your time with this. Overall its a good neck from the price I paid. I would have sent it back if I paid full price and went to a better name brand like Warmoth which makes wonderful necks and is US made (if that matters to you). In the end, feel is what is important and the neck feels great and makes me want to pick up the guitar and play.

I bought this as a replacement neck for my Roland Ready Strat. I opened the box and checked the fret ends and the neck has a lot of fret sprout with sharp fret ends. Normally the fret tang is clipped so not to stick out of the neck. These weren't clipped. The fret sprout is not only on top, but also the bottom. I have to make a decision to either fix it or return it. At the moment, I'm leaning towards the latter.

  • Solid neck!

I bought this neck to upgrade from a 2009 squier bullet neck. It is much more solid, smoother, better frets and longer scale.

  • I would buy it again
