Microphome Microphone Foam Sanitizer Bottle 50 mL

Description
Microphome comes in a handy 50 ml bottle, which is enough for over 100 applications. The secret to its effectiveness lies in its alcohol-free formula and foam aeration system. The antimicrobial cleaning fluid is pumped in a measured dose of gently aerated foam that clings to the external microphone surface, never touching the internal electronics, then it completely dissipates within two minutes.
Founder and CEO Tommy McCoy explains: "In my years as a musician, I've had to use a lot of mics that-well, who knows what might be living on there from the previous users? And there was no product on the market to address it. That's what inspired me to develop Microphome: to help artists protect themselves and others. It helps keep the artists healthy and makes the mics safe to share. It's also easy to use, so it can be part of your routine maintenance. No more nasty mics!"
Using Microphome is simple. Just squirt one dose of the foam onto a lint-free cloth or the palm of your hand and rub it onto the microphone's grille. After about two minutes, the fast-drying foam simply evaporates, leaving the mic disinfected, deodorized, and safe so the artist can sing with confidence.
"All performers should be concerned about health issues," notes McCoy. "Microphome is the first and only product on the market that addresses this concern. Finally the artist can quickly and safely disinfect the mic before each sound check and performance. As we like to say: Foam it before you own it, and practice safe checks!"

As an engineer it is nice to know I am cleaning a mic before I use it and am giving a clean mic to my artists.

I was excited about the cherry vanilla scent, but the product itself is underwhelming. It says you can pump the foam into your hand and then apply it to the microphone, but I use a microfiber cloth and that seems to work much better. I also feel like this let's a weird taste on the grill of the mic. I'll use the rest of this but my standard of alcohol wipes and mouthwash just crushes this product. Oh well!
A "Must Have" Product

I work in a doing piano company, where we all use Sennheiser wireless microphones. It's not uncommon for us to share our microphone with the audience at times. Especially during weddings, when people are giving speeches. We made this product a "must" for all of the players in our company. It's important that we stay healthy. This phone is easy to apply, and it works. Having said that, I did read the one other review (at the time of this writing) and it seems to me that it is racist and not accurate to the products performance. The writer left a title that reads, "no work-ey." And then goes on to complain that it was made in China. It bothered me that a racist review, was the only thing to gauge the performance of this product on. So, since I use this product on a regular basis, let me just add a few things. 1. We have used this product for about a year now on 10 microphones, and it has not broken any of them. If this product broke microphones, I suspect it would be out of business by now. 2. While it does smell great, I t doesn't leave a lingering odor either. The purpose is to sanitize. It gets rid of odors and germs effectively. 3. The color is a white foam. One squirt onto tour Palm, and then you rub it on the microphone grill, while the microphone is off. It's simple and effective. If that other guy really believes it broke his microphone, then I can only assume he applied an excessive amount to a live microphone.

First thing I noticed was this foul, putrid stench when I sprayed this off-white looking foam "made in China"...which explains it all. My Shure SM-58 "Sure" didn't work the same afterwards. One would have to be a fool, like I was, to waste money on this ineffective so-called product. I'll finally have enough cash to get another microphone next Friday.
