Martin S1 Soprano Ukulele Natural

I play with and for friends. It's an instrument that's always welcome. It has awesome tone — solid mahogany— and looks gorgeous. The "fit and finish" are immaculate. The intonation is excellent. The gig bag is top notch. My only issue is the authentic friction tuners. I'll be replacing the tuners soon with geared tuners to obtain better tuning control and accuracy. It's an understated instrument, without bling, but it's elegant and plays beautifully.

Amazing little ukulele! You can tell Martin has been making ukuleles for over 100 years! If you want a classic soprano, get a Martin S1. They're built well, sound great, and look solid. You won't be disappointed in the least bit.

I'm a beginner, playing for about three months, and this little soprano from Martin is well worth every cent! Easy to play, set up well with a nice action, it comes ready to go. The Martin strings are light and the tone, with the mahogany body, is just what you want from a uke - a little twang, a little beachy sound. For its size, it prjects nicely too. The gig bag that's included is also very nice - I recently took mine on the plane to Florida, and felt very comfortable walking around with it and sitting with it in the cabin (if you're checking, hard case needed for sure!). If yuo're a beginner like me, this Martin a good place to start - and you may not need anything else!

This ukulele is very good and solid I've only had this for about 3 months been very satisfied. the case is very good but I would recommend getting a hard case but the case is good for just carrying around... it looks just like the picture, the grain is very nice I really like the size very easy to play in the car and everything like that. It has a very nice balance. it's kinda hard to tune with the friction tuners but i think I looks better and this thing smells so good If your looking for a good small ukulele I would recommend this
