The perfect guitar for fingerpicking

I'm absolutely in love with this guitar and I believe it to be my guitar soulmate. The price was definitely a lot more than I ever wanted to spend, but it is the most beautiful sounding and most comfortable feeling guitar I ever played. It's going to stay with me till the day I die. I'm primarily a fingerpicker and this is really the perfect guitar for fingerpicking. It sounds good strummed too, but I would mostly recommend for people who do a fair amount of picking. I've only had it a couple of days, but the tone blows me away, and it's only going to sound better and better as time goes on and it opens up. The neck is the most comfortable neck I've ever played. I was having trouble consistently doing thumb chords clean, but this neck really fits my hand well I can do them with much more ease. I definitely recommend the OM-28 for fingerpickers looking for their forever guitar. Yes the price is a big pill to swallow, but when you factor in all the money lost from the endless cycle of trading in guitars & buying new ones, it's a little more tenable. In my opinion you really can't get better. There are of course more expensive Martins with more aesthetic frills, but the tone and comfort of this guitar is top notch.

Best guitar I've owned!

When I set out to upgrade my Guild OM-140, I tried every acoustic I could get my hands on. I've owned a couple of high-end Taylor's and was leaning that way...until I started playing Martins. Since I didn't have an immediate need to plug in, the search focused on acoustics only. After trying a bunch of D's and HD's, and a couple OOOs, I saw my OM-28 up on the wall. Even though it was the last one I tried, it immediately fit like a glove. The sound is spectacular, and once set up properly, plays like a dream! The tone is bright but deep enough to compliment most vocals. What I really love are the dynamics one can achieve with this instrument. Will probably keep this one forever!

Tone is classic Martin. Bright and full sustain. Slight fret buzz on B & high E string but action is fast so it's a trade off. Sharp edge on tear drop pick guard near sound hole. Otherwise perfect.

Martins website lists this product as having a compensated bond and saddle, but here it is listed with a tusq saddle. Is this listing inaccurate, or would I need to special order with bond in the saddle?
the manufacturer is right, it looks like we have old information. I'll request to have that updated on end.
