Reliable tone

I have been using Martin 80/20 strings for 25 years. Always sound great with a nice full sound from these. I have tried several others prior to, and I always never really cared for the tone from the others. Then a friend gave me a pak of Martin strings to try. Afterwards I never went back to the other brand.

I like the gauge, but I wish Martin would return the Retro

Good strings but I prefer Retro Custom Lights

#sweepstakes I went down a size and really like it. I am a beginner and after lowering my nut and saddle a bit my Martin is significantly easier to play and sounds the same.

  • Quality strings.

Everything, everywhere, and all the time. I've been using them (Martin Strings) as a studio and touring guitarist since I had my first Martin. I have found they work on every type of acoustic I have ever had, from D's to OO's to cutaways with no electronica and with electronics. What else can I say. They are great strings.
