Description

The Martin GPC-15ME Special StreetMaster Grand Performance acoustic-electric guitar pays tribute to the working musician. This mahogany grand performance cutaway model offers a beautifully distressed satin finish and Fishman Matrix VT Enhance electronics for plugged-in tone, all with Martin's signature playability and lifetime warranty. Whether busking on city streets or performing on prestigious stages, the GPC-15ME Special StreetMaster Grand Performance provides an organic, broken-in sound and style with modern convenience.

All-Mahogany Body Resonates with Warmth

The GPC-15ME Special StreetMaster Grand Performance features an all-solid mahogany body and neck for a lush, rounded tone. Its solid sipo mahogany top is non-scalloped and reinforced with Martin's A-frame spruce bracing, producing a balanced acoustic voice with rich lows and clear highs. A satin finish and strategically placed dings give the appearance of a well-loved instrument that's ready to make music.

Modified Neck Profile Accommodates Steel- and Nylon-String Players

Martin designed the GPC-15ME Special StreetMaster Grand Performance neck with a modified low oval profile and 1.75" nut width for comfort and playability. Its high-performance taper provides a familiar feel for steel-string guitarists, while remaining accessible for nylon-string players. A satin finish and 20 frets on an East Indian rosewood fingerboard enable expressive, articulate playing up and down the neck.

Onboard Electronics Capture Natural Tone

The GPC-15ME Special StreetMaster Grand Performance comes equipped with a Fishman Matrix VT Enhance pickup system for amplified performance. Volume, tone and enhance blend controls mounted inside the soundhole provide tonal shaping to suit any musical scenario. The pickup accentuates the mahogany body's warm, balanced voice for an authentic acoustic tone through PA systems and guitar amps.

Additional Appointments and Included Gig Bag

A multi-stripe rosette and East Indian rosewood fingerboard with abalone Golden Era Diamond and Square fingerboard inlays, '30s-style rope inlay and a faux tortoise pickguard give the GPC-15ME Special StreetMaster Grand Performance a vintage-inspired look. It includes a durable gig bag for transport, allowing musicians to take their show on the road at a moment's notice.

I wasnt sure how i would like an all mahogany body guitar for my fingerstyle of playing. But with the right strings this guitar sounds pretty great. The guitar sounds mellow, warm, but still has some brightness and articulation, feels nice, pickup sounds nice, heck it even smells nice. The downside is the fretwork could be a little better and to obtain the med/low fingerstyle type action the saddle is nearly level with the bridge and the neck angle is not great. To put it plainly a two year old american made guitar, kept in a humidy controlled music room, needs a neck reset. I like the guitar enough to have the work done to save it but im not sure id buy another martin if thats the quality control i can expect from them.

  • Glad it was in the store

This guitar is so beautiful. The sound, look and smell are on another level. Every time I open the case it smells like buttery cookies lol. The sound is so cool. Warm and the music vibrates in my chest with every strum. Definitely recommend this to everyone. I got a good discount that wasn't on the tag. Guess it was in the shop for a while.

  • I would buy another one if mine got destroyed or stolen.

I went to the Springfield Missouri GC to buy a different guitar I'd been looking at. Someone else had already bought it. Looking around I saw this Martin. Being intrigued by its Roadmaster Finnish I played it and quickly decided to take it home. It's quite a bit smaller than my D35 and because of that much more comfortable to set and play. The fret board is wider and took a little bit of getting used to, but really not that bad. It has a mellow tone unlike the D35 but makes for a great guitar to write with. It's quickly became my main accoustic guitar. I've sold off both my Taylors. After getting this Martin I never played them.

  • I would recommend this guitar.

I walked in to buy a Gibson LP, played this on a whim and left with it. The sound is amazing, rich and clear. The body looks great, perfect gloss, wear patterns are great. Only use the Martin strings on it. Put a set of Daddario XS on it and just didn't sound quite right.
