Martin Guitar Nazareth Factory Tour Part 2

Description
The Martin D-10E Road Series dreadnought acoustic-electric guitar boasts an all-solid sapele body and neck for a tone that resonates with warmth and clarity. The classic dreadnought shape and scalloped bracing provide a versatile, projecting sound ideal for any style. Martin paired this bold acoustic tone with their innovative soundhole E1 electronics, featuring a built-in chromatic tuner, to deliver your music with power and nuance.
All-Solid Sapele Construction Sings
The sapele top, back and sides of the D-10E resonate with a tone reminiscent of mahogany, with a focused midrange and clear, ringing highs. Sapele's tight grain lends a strong, balanced tone with long sustain that sounds full when strummed and detailed when picked. Scalloped bracing allows the sapele to vibrate freely, enhancing resonance for a naturally loud, blooming voice.
Martin E1 Electronics Amplify Your Sound
The Martin E1 pickup system gives the D-10E a natural amplified tone with all the nuance of its acoustic voice. Volume, Tone and Phase controls so you can better shape your amplified tone, allowing you to adjust the midrange, blend in the sound of the soundboard transducer or create a balanced tone to suit any live or studio situation. A built-in tuner offers silent onstage tuning via an upward-facing display.
Premium Appointments and Playability
The D-10E includes premium appointments for maximum tone and playability. Its Richlite fingerboard provides a smooth surface for intricate fingerstyle work or complex chords. Chrome enclosed tuners keep the D-10E in tune through dynamic performances or long studio sessions. A compensated TUSQ saddle improves intonation for flawless fretting up and down the fingerboard.
Take Your Music Anywhere
The included gig bag provides stylish, sustainable portability for the D-10E. Made from recycled materials, the gig bag includes padded handles, zippered storage compartments for accessories and a durable shell to protect your investment wherever music takes you.

Great guitar for the price
I ordered this guitar because I was in the market for an acoustic guitar with a built in pickup. My primary guitar is a Taylor 510 and a Blueridge 2060 for a backup. This Martin D10 sounded and felt great right out the box. After a couple of hours of playing it, the sound really started to open up. Having a sapele top you don't get the brightness and projection of a spruce top but you do get an amazing warm resonance with a natural sustain. It sounds great acoustic or plugged in. It has the powerful tone Martins are known for. The construction is as good as any Martin I've played and I've played Martins from the X series to the D45. Martin has been around almost 200 years for a reason, they produce quality. Many guitars in this price range have laminate wood, this guitar is solid wood and should improve as it ages. I have never bought an acoustic guitar without playing it first but with stores being so low stocked now, i am very satisfied with this purchase.

Construction Shortcuts Take Their Toll
Wanted something to go out and play with so my (23+ year old) OM-28 could go into semi-retirement. A lot of people recommended the D10 series and I enjoyed the all-sapele sound. Mine arrived and right out of the box it was a buzzing mess - which isn't too grievous. I immediately set about checking the relief (fine) and the action (also fine). I then went and checked the frets and I have never seen such inconsistency in fret-heights on something this price. Beyond the 12th fret, it was basically a jagged mess of fret heights, consistently toward the 6th string. Further researching this, I found that this kind of construction is fairly common in the Martins that aren't made in America. Guitar center has been great in helping me return this guitar - so kudos to them. There used to be an adage that the "lowest" tier Martin anyone should ever buy is the 15-series, and I think that still holds true given the quality of the guitar I received.

This is my first Martin guitar and I am completely impressed. I already own multiple Fender and Gretsch guitars, a Taylor, Yamaha and a Gibson, but the quality of the build, impressive action and incredibly beautiful warm sound of this guitar is beyond compare. Now I am considering selling my Gibson, which was almost twice as expensive as the Martin, in favor of buying higher end Martin. I would absolutely recommend buying this guitar, which comes with a handsome and nicely padded case.
Store this guitar in it's case when not in use!

This was my first Martin. Even though it's a mass produced MIM Martin I thought it would be a decently made guitar. A year after I bought it it developed several cracks on the back and sides. I own part of the responsibility. I've never stored my guitars in their case nor did I humidify my jam space. Living in Colorado, we're about as dry as you can get. That being said I've owned several acoustics, never storing them when not in use, this was the first to crack. Took it to a luthier for repairs a few months ago, the repair didn't hold. The guitar is now kindling! Since the first repair this guitar was stored when not in use, the room is humidified to 45%.

I traded up my Martin 000-x1ae X series to the Martin D10e-01 sapele road series guitar from Guitar Center and I like everything about this acoustic-electric guitar. The sounds and played very well, its looks and feels really nice with top satin quality finish, a tuner convenience located in the sound hole. Comes with a premium soft gig bag. Love it!!!

Sounds lovely. Wood grain is stunning. Higher strings really sing, sounds like a much more expensive guitar. Totally love it.

I have a Takamine GC3 acoustic guitar, and am considering a Martin. I want a solid mahogany top but don't want electronics. Which one would you suggest. Price is important. Thanks
It is mainly a matter of personal preference but the Martin 00-15M 15 Series Mahogany Top Grand Concert Acoustic Guitar would be a good choice.submitted4 years ago

I'm looking for a brand new Martin DRS1, but I cant find it anywhere, perhaps it was discontinued. Is this the best alternative for the Martin DRS1? What's the difference?
